On this food tour, you’ll sample lampredotto—a classic Florentine street food made from slow-cooked tripe—alongside a variety of regional cured meats, aged pecorino cheese, and freshly baked schiacciata, a crunchy, salty Tuscan flatbread. Surrounded by the voices of local vendors and the aromas of Italy’s finest ingredients, the Mercato Centrale offers an unforgettable immersion into the culinary soul of Florence.
After exploring the flavors of the Mercato Centrale, we'll stroll through the heart of Florence to enjoy a relaxed lunch at a traditional local restaurant. From there, we'll continue our walk along the charming streets toward Via della Carraia, crossing the Arno River with beautiful views of the city. To end our tour on a sweet note, we’ll stop for one of Florence’s best gelatos at the famous Gelateria La Carraia—a perfect final taste of the city.

We loved this tour! Marco took time to explain the history of Florence as we walked to different parts of the city to try delicious food from local spots. He gave us a list of places to eat and explained how to get the best value. This was a relaxing start to our trip.
