- ALL Participants will need an International Driving Permit issued in the format of the 1949 Geneva Convention from a government authorized association to drive in Japan. • EXCEPT participants with licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, or Monaco will need to obtain a Japanese translation of their license from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF)
- Drivers' licenses issued by countries not covered by the 1949 Geneva Convention (such as China, Indonesia, Mexico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc.) are not permitted to drive in Japan
- Participants must carry their physical International Driving Permit (or for exceptional countries listed above that requires a Japanese translation, the physical domestic license + official translation) and physical passport
- Minimum age is 18 years old.
- Wear flat closed footwear, Do not wear no long flowy skirts or dress.
- **ATTENTION: If your group is more than 6 drivers, your group will split into 2 smaller groups with a guide leading each group.
- You MUST inform us if you have any level of hearing impairment or mobility impairment.

My mate and I took part in the Tokyo Bay karting tour on 23 July 2026. The weather was hot and humid, but the staff ensured we were well-prepared with a detailed safety briefing before departure. Our guide, Violet, was outstanding. As a Kiwi familiar with Tokyo’s roads and traffic patterns, she led the group with confidence and clarity, which made the initial nerves of driving karts through a major city much easier to manage. The karts themselves were basic—no suspension, no power steering, left‑foot braking, and only a small steel frame for protection—but once we adapted, the experience became incredibly fun. Navigating through Tokyo’s traffic was surprisingly smooth, with local drivers giving us plenty of space. The highlight was crossing Rainbow Bridge. When instructed to accelerate, I reached approximately 70 kph. Whether exact or not, the feeling of speed at ground level was fantastic. After more than two hours of driving, we returned for a debrief and safety check. Everyone seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and the heat was barely noticeable once we were underway. I highly recommend this tour. It was one of the best parts of my three‑week holiday in Japan. Thanks to the team for an exceptional experience.
Awesome experience! If youre in tokyo you should book with this vendor Only down side is you cant dress up as mario characters (licensing reasons) If coming in the summer, bring sunscreen, water and a positive attitude! Lol
B Dragon was a great instructor. I was nervous in the beginning but within 10 mins, it changed to the best experience of my life. Admission fee and length of visit was perfectly aligned. If you can meet the Driver’s license requirements, you must do it.
Great experience If you are in a big group be careful trying to get a cab that can fit everyone It’s a warehouse district

Make sure you bring some change with you (cold drinks at the vending machine, sunscreen and a tye-able hat. Marky was our guide and we had a lot of fun whipping through the city. He took a bunch of pictures for us and we got to view some cools spots around Tokyo! I was a little nervous as I have never driven in a foreign country but Marky and Jordan made me feel comfortable within the first 5 minutes!

If you are traveling to Tokyo, this is definitely one activity you want to do. We had Marky and Jordan take our session and they made it an absolute blast!!! We booked in July, which is Summer in Japan and were nervous that it was going to be hot. Once we got on the road it wasn’t that bad at all. Since you’re go karting fast the wind keeps you cool. Please note we booked the 1pm session aswell. We saw so many good sites such as the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower. Shout out to the reception lady (Koto) too for being so friendly and helpful!

Marky and Jordan were great tour guides, you couldn't tell it was Marky's first time leading the group. Crossing the Rainbow Bridge and sight seeing the Tokyo Tower were definite highlights of the tour. They also take lots of photos which is fantastic.
