It is really fun and interactive. The macarons were amazing. The instructor was very nice and it’s a great atmosphere
My 10 year old daughter and I took this class and it was mediocre to say the least. The pastry chef mostly demonstrated as we observed. We took turns squeezing the shell out of a premixed bag as a group. For our own macarons, the shells were premade and we mixed the filling with pre-measured ingredients. Overall, the class was a bit boring. However, don’t miss Galleries Lafayette with great shopping, its amazing stained glass roof, incredible rooftop sign and amazing view.
This experience was just OK. Kids made filling for macaroon. A lot of class was observing vs. doing! We enjoyed other activities at Gallery Lafayette after class - glass walk, rooftop, and souvenir shopping on the 7th floor!
The whole experience was amazing. All of us enjoyed it a lot. Heard about its history but when we had the experience we felt that as a first timer visitor we are happy.
The instructor was just ok, definitely does not specialize in children and this is not a child specific class. This was expensive for what it was- they do not even offer a separate set of macarons for the parent(s), so paying $60 per adult to supervise your own child for an hour while they mix butter for 10 minutes is absolutely excessive. $150 for 6 mediocre macarons - not worth it.
A highlight of our trip! The chef was amazing. Great with the kids and made everything look easy. Our macarons were better than Laduree!
We purchased tickets for 2 adults and 3 children thinking we would all get to make macaroons for the price we paid. Only the kids got to participate and they only got to mix the filling for the macaroons and nothing else. Very hard to find and no one in the Galleries knew anything about the class or where to go. Definitely would not recommend.
We attended the class as a family of four. The instructor demonstrated making the exterior of a macaron and offered guests a chance to pipe one shell. Then we were supplied with previously cooked shells and we were able to mix a few ingredients to make the filling for two types of macarons. My children seemed to enjoy it. I thought it was too expensive for not making the whole macaron.
Not worth the money for how little we actually “baked”. Expensive price tag to stand and watch the instructor make the macarons. She was super knowledgeable and nice, however the class should be long enough that attendees can actually measure ingredients and *bake*. We “assembled” four macarons which consisted of taking a whisk and mixing pre measured ingredients and then putting the filling on the two halves. Super hard to find the place. Go elsewhere unless you like paying a lot for little value.
We attended this class with 2 adults and 3 kids. It was a perfect introduction to making macarons. The instructor was very knowledgeable and great with the kids.
