“Jed” was an incredible guide and made our tour fun and entertaining. This company is so good that I initially booked the tour for the wrong day. When no one showed up I contacted them. They turned around and returned to the city to pick us up and allowing us to join a day earlier. Incredible costumer service!
We booked the longest tour option to give us time to see everything, and it was definitely worth it! The paths are quite good quality, and depending on the time of year you could get wet feet walking to the God's Bridge - but your Guide will advise if this is the case in advance.
Our excursion to the Akchour waterfalls was absolutely fantastic. The hike itself is stunning, with beautiful scenery at every turn, making it a truly memorable experience. What made it even better was our guide, Youssef, whose knowledge and passion added so much depth to the journey. He made us feel welcome, comfortable, and safe throughout the entire hike. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Chefchaouen, especially if you have Youssef as your guide. He truly elevates the experience.
Superb experience at the Akchour Waterfalls We spent a great day in the Rif Mountains, in the heart of Talassemtane National Park. The hike is beautiful, between green forests, rock formations and impressive views. The waterfalls are beautiful and offer great photo opportunities. We even had the chance to observe monkeys (macaques), which made the experience even more memorable. Many thanks to our guide Youssef, passionate, attentive and always in a good mood. You can feel that he loves his region deeply and enjoys showing it around, which makes the experience even more authentic.
We had a beautiful hike in Akchour with our guide Zakaria. The tour that we took included the small waterfall, the big waterfall and god’s bridge. All of it is breathtakingly beautiful. The tour took us 6hours and we walked 13-14km in total. Along the way there were places to rest for a bit and to refresh yourself(drinks and food) . You are also able to take a swim at the big waterfall ( naturally the water is refreshing and cold) . Zakaria speaks Spanish, English and Arabic so the communication for us was very smooth. This is a very beautiful excursion to do with friends or in couples. They have different formulas if the distance is to big for you.
We had booked a private tour and Youssef was our guide for the day. He told us a lot about the area and plants while we were hiking to the big waterfall. The falls themselves are beautiful and very impressive. The water was crystal clear! It was still too cold for us, but in the summer it is certainly a lot of fun to bathe there. At lunch we had a delicious tajine. It was a great day!
Hicham is the best!! He’s so knowledgeable and speaks so many languages so clearly. We spoke English and were chatting with him the entire day. He took us for a lovely hike; stopping when we needed rest and even carrying our water bottle for us. We did the hikes and then had a beautiful tajine lunch next to a waterfall. Highly recommend.
No one showed up at the meeting point or advised me beforehand that the hike was canceled. Extremely disappointed.
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that you felt disappointed, but we would like to clarify what happened from our side. On the day of the excursion, we were present at the agreed meeting point on time, along with three other participants. We waited for you for more than 20 minutes past the scheduled departure time. During that time, I also attempted to contact you via WhatsApp — including a message sent at 10:04 AM — to check your status and help coordinate, but unfortunately we did not receive any response. As the rest of the group was present and ready, the excursion proceeded as planned. The activity took place normally, and the three other participants completed and enjoyed the experience. We have documentation of the excursion that day, including photos and a positive review from those guests. We always strive to ensure smooth communication and a great experience for all our guests, and we regret that we were unable to connect with you that morning.
Mohamed Yassin El Ouahabi, the General Manager of Chefchaouen Adventures, was absolutely accommodating in every aspect of planning this trip. He was reachable on WhatsApp and answered all of my questions, and made suggestions for things I didn't know to ask. My boss and his family said that they had a fabulous time and that the trip was superb. When I reached out to Chefchaoen Adventures, they arranged RT transportation from Tangiers to Chefchaouen, as well as arranged a tour to the waterfalls and God's Bridge of Akchour, and restaurant reservations. My boss said that his particular driver, Youssef, was excellent, and an amazing guide. If you want 1st Class service and an amazing trip in Morrocco, please check out Chefchaouen Adventures.
An excellent tour with Youseff. We actually weren’t that interested in the waterfalls, we just wanted to explore the Rief mountains. Once Youseff understood that we were interested in monkeys and learning about the local plants and seeing great views, he pointed those things out more. We saw so many monkeys on this trip! Do be aware there are street dogs that will follow the group. Some are vaccinated against rabies, some are not. Do not engage with them as they do snap. Our guide had to chase them away at one point. There was a lot of rain, so the streams were very full. There are 5+ stream crossings which are challenging if are not prepared for them. The water was about 0.85m deep in some places with very uneven rocky stream bed. If you go in summer it won’t be a problem. We called it quits once the water reached my mid-thighs because the current was quick and the water freezing. The air temperature was 6 degrees Celsius. Youseff did try to pressure us into finishing the hike multiple times, and while his enthusiasm was great, if travelers don’t feel safe or start to feel uncomfortable, please listen to them the FIRST time they insist to head back early. My mother is on the older side and one slip into cold water would not have been good. We were cold, so we finished the hike with some excellent soup by the river. I recommend this tour, but maybe not in winter and definitely not when it’s raining. We did a total of about 5.5 miles.
