This tour starts at 8:30 AM, departing from Cusco. Enjoy the scenic drive as you head to Moray, located 7 km from Maras, about two hours from Cusco along the Chinchero route. Explore the circular agricultural terraces, known for their unique design and believed to be a center of feminine energy and a magnetic point of Pachamama. Spend approximately 2 hours discovering this fascinating site. Then, head to Salinas de Maras, about 30 minutes from Moray. This historical salt mine consists of around 3,000 small wells where salt has been harvested since pre-Hispanic times. Learn about the ancient techniques used to evaporate saltwater from underground streams. After exploring for another 2 hours, you'll return to Cusco, arriving around 2:00 PM.

The perfect half-day trip from Cusco! You get rich history, unique landscapes, and local culture, and you’re still back in town in time for lunch.
The visit to the weaving center was my favorite part! Local Andean women demonstrated how they extract vibrant dyes from plants and insects, then spin raw alpaca wool by hand.
It was wonderful to support the local artisans at the textile center before heading to the breath-taking views of Moray and Maras. The tour group size was perfect, and we didn't feel rushed at any of the stops. Make sure to bring some extra cash to buy some authentic souvenirs from the weavers!
Came for the famous salt mines, but fell in love with the whole experience. The engineering of Moray is unbelievable and the locals at the textile center are amazing. One of my favorite days in Peru.
