Itinerary
Our driver will pick you up in Florence (hotel, B&B, or private apartment) for a scenic drive through the rolling Tuscan countryside. We’ll travel along one of Italy’s most beautiful wine roads, winding through the gentle Chianti hills dotted with olive groves, cypress trees, vineyards, and charming medieval villages.
Our first stop is San Gimignano, where you’ll have about 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore on your own. This small, walled medieval hill town near Siena is famous as the “Town of Fine Towers.” In the Middle Ages it had more than 70 towers, and today it feels like an open-air museum, offering a fascinating glimpse into medieval life. San Gimignano is also known for its saffron, Prosciutto Toscano (Tuscan ham), and the white wine Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient Vernaccia grape. As you stroll through the main square, don’t miss the chance to taste the renowned “world’s best gelato” at Gelateria Dondoli. You’ll also have time to wander the narrow streets and discover local artisan shops.
After San Gimignano, we’ll head to a family-run organic farm, celebrated for the quality and authenticity of its products. This is a true Tuscan food-and-wine experience, where you’ll learn about perfect pairings, discover local traditions, and enjoy a relaxed lunch in the countryside. Lunch includes: Bruschetta Lasagna or homemade pasta Cured meats and Tuscan ham Pecorino cheese Dessert and more During lunch you will enjoy: A wine tasting featuring Chianti, Chianti Riserva, Sangiovese, and Vernaccia Extra virgin olive oil tasting Flavored olive oils (pepper and truffle) tasting Balsamic vinegar tasting After this delightful lunch experience, we will drive you back to Florence.

We had a great day with Andrea. He picked us up from our hotel which is difficult to reach. He let us take our time at each place and taught us a lot about wine and olive oil.
It’s a beautiful ride through the countryside of Florence, if you get the same tour guy that we got, he was excellent and part of the nice experience was because of him. we visit a winery that was a good experience however I felt it was a bit more marketing oriented, we ended up spending more money than we wanted to in wine, but they are excellent wines.
My group and I had a wonderful time on our San Gimignano/Tuscany wine tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, yet gave us time to explore and make memories on our own. The wine tasting was an amazing experience; the view and atmosphere equally as indulging as the wine and food. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and one of our favorite parts of our trip.
Enea was a wonderful guide during our trip to San Gimignano, even helping me with decisions on items to gift family! I felt like I had a brother I never knew 😊 We really enjoyed our Tuscany day, the only thing better would have been to include 2 wineries! Also, book early so you get some great tips on best places to visit or eat from a local. Grazie.
The start of the tour to the very end was wonderful! Our tour guide, Stefano, met us at our hotel and gave us a lot of great history as he drove us through the beautiful hill sides. The food and the wine at the winery were absolutely amazing and the staff that worked there were so kind and attentive and just made for a wonderful day to the very end of our tour! This was a dream come true for me and my daughters helped make this possible! I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone who would enjoy taking in the beautiful scenery along with some delicious food and wine.
Our private tour with Andrea was the highlight of our ten day trip to Italy. He picked us up from our hotel exactly on time and his warm welcoming personality instantly made it feel like we were meeting an old friend. He is packed with knowledge and was able to answer our every question about the local history, architecture, food, travel tips, and wine - oh the wine! We traveled to San Gimignano where we got to experience a lovely town straight out of the Middle Ages and have the world’s best gelato - for real, just look it up. The last official stop on our tour was to the La Marronaia where Andrea had set us up with a VIP wine tasting and lunch on a private patio overlooking the Tuscan countryside. It was the most beautiful scenery we had ever seen. Andrea even made a few unplanned stops for us along the way to see the best sights for pictures of Florence and the countryside. At the conclusion of our trip we felt like wine pros and best of all, made a new friend. Andrea, thank you so much for making us feel like family. We truly wish you the best and hope to meet again!
We had a unique tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Andrea became a friend in a very short time.
Thank you John , you are always welcome in Italy !!
