It was good experience and wonderful country Nepal must visit
Absolutely outstanding experience with Prem Tamang (porter) & Dil Man Gurung (guide) at Alpine Ramble Treks. Me and two friends travelled to Nepal to complete the EBC trail, things didn’t go to plan from the outset when my bag didn’t arrive in Kathmandu, the Alpine Ramble team supported & helped with liaising with the baggage reclaim team at the airport, a few days later it arrived & the team confirmed it securely stored in the hotel, they also provided me with lots of replacement equipment that I used throughout the trek which meant I didn’t have to rebuy everything. As for the trek itself, Dil Man & Prem could not have done more for us, they make an amazing duo. Throughout the trip they were constantly on hand making sure we had everything we needed from hot drinks to food, checking in on us and our health. Every night, Dil Man would do a mission brief on the next day on what we should expect, we really liked this. Dil Man takes a very careful & cautious approach when ascending on the EBC trail, carefully overseeing any of the symptoms we were presenting, ensuring these were mild and not getting progressively worse - he always stands behind safety first and that’s important for us as clients. We also were tight for time to compete the trail, which we mitigated by doing some longer walking days on the return journey, it was importantly not to skip either of our two acclimatisation days. Prem was exceptional throughout - he has the biggest smile and such positive attitude, he set a fantastic pace for us throughout the trip ensuring we were not going to fast or two slow. He always made sure we were comfortable, hopefully one day he will progress onto guiding. We successfully completed EBC safely, this is accredited to Dil Man & Prem, thank you guys, you are awesome & a credit to your company. Do not be put off by travelling in the monsoon season, it only rained on our very last day and we pretty much had the trail to ourselves!
We couldn’t have asked for a better team for our Everest Base Camp trek. A huge thank you to our guide, Dil Man Gurung, and our porter, Prem Tamang, for making this such an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, Dil’s attention to detail was outstanding. He always made sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and well looked after, while taking the time to explain the route, answer questions, and guide us through every stage of the trek. He struck the perfect balance of being supportive without ever being pushy, allowing us to go at our own pace while always keeping a close eye on how we were feeling. His calm, positive attitude gave us complete confidence throughout the journey. Prem was equally incredible. He was always smiling, incredibly hardworking, and nothing was ever too much trouble. His kindness, willingness to help, and constant positivity made every day that little bit easier. We were so grateful for everything he did behind the scenes to make the trek run smoothly. Together, Dil and Prem created a friendly, supportive, and safe environment that made the whole experience even more special. Trekking to Everest Base Camp is something we’ll never forget, and we’re so glad we got to share the journey with them. We would happily book with Alpine Ramble Treks again in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a trek in Nepal. Thank you again, Dil and Prem, for your professionalism, kindness, and for helping create memories that will last a lifetime!
The trek was pure adventure! Everything worked out very well! From the airport pickup to the organization and the availability of the guides, everything worked out very well! Krishna was my guide and I have rarely felt so well accompanied and taken care of! In addition, you get a very cool insight into the Nepalese hinterland! Again and again and thank you very much!
It was life changing experience that l regret l didn't do this before. My guide Busatna did everything possible in supporting me on my journey and off course it wasn't possible without Sonan who carry all my gear. I would definitely recommend not doing a trek in Nepal on your own and if you are looking for a company to go trekking with in Nepal l would highly recommend Alpine Ramble
Dillman and prem as our guides for these two weeks have been excelent. They accommodate to all fitness levels and change the itinerary to get an earlier flight. Overall incredible experience with the company they were great hosts and will definitely recommend to everyone I know.
In May I started the EBC Trek with alpine ramble and, with the minor exception of a single rainy day, that time of year proved to be favorable. From Kathmandu Airport on everything was well organized by Alpine Ramble and there were no surprises in terms of costs or performance. The trip itself was amazing, and for me (23M) physically well achievable even without a porter. The high altitude meant walking slowly, so the legs weren’t as exhausted. Only the way back down was physically tiring. Views.. what should I say, you have to see them yourselves, I can barely find the words for them. Comfort wise you shouldn‘t be picky though, it‘s a trek, not a wellness hotel. But if you know that and come with the right expectations that’s fine too. One more thing: Temperatures are really funny in the Himalaya. Nights with -14°C, when hiking early in the morning you’ll need a jacket (I used mine twice on the trip), but as soon as the sun comes out I quickly changed to a T-Shirt again. Less Atmosphere above you means more IR and UV light which keeps you warm, as do the backpack and the Hiking. Most of the time I wore a thin sweater. Sleeping bags can be borrowed at Alpine Ramble, they’re quite warm, as they need to be.
I did my solo EBC trek with Alpine Ramble. It was a great experience and my guide was Nir.The whole trip was well prepared and managed. It was a satisfying trip for me. I would recommend Alphine Ramble strongly. Kudos to them😊👌🏾
Had an absolutely amazing experience trekking to Everest Base Camp with Alpine Ramble Trek, made even more memorable by our incredible guide, Sagan, and our wonderful porter, Sanjay. Sagan is simply amazing — energetic, positive, encouraging, fun, and honestly, crazily fun! He is incredibly knowledgeable and took such good care of us throughout the trek. He always made sure we ate well, rested well, and stayed motivated even during the toughest days. His best line was: “Always think positive.” And with that mindset and encouragement, we successfully made it to Everest Base Camp! A special shoutout as well to Sanjay — the most good-looking Nepal “oppa” 😆. Quiet and shy, but always greeting us with his brightest smile. He made sure our bags safely reached each accommodation and looked after us in his own thoughtful way throughout the journey. Importantly, also a huge thank to Dil, whom we made the booking with. From the beginning, he was responsive, patiently answering all our questions and assisting us before departure and even after we landed in Nepal. They all made this trek not just achievable, but unforgettable. Highly recommended!
From the time they picked us up at Kathmandu airport, Alpine Ramble Treks was attentive to our needs. Our guide, Sujal, was friendly and knowledgeable, and our two porters (my daughter and I each hired one, which I recommend, if you can) were a pleasure to walk with. EBC is a challenging trek, and some accommodations let you know you’re roughing it—especially as you climb in elevation. But Alpine Rambler did a good job finding us lodging and meals. One stand out among the lodges was the View Point Lodge in Pangboche.
