BLUMENAU - Route along the Itajaí-Açú River with its typical European landscape characterized by German architecture. Visit to the Garden of the Beer, former Railway Station (now Prefecture), Metropolitan Cathedral, Germanic Villa with lunch stop. POMERODE - Known as the most German city in Brazil, the largest stock of enxaimel buildings outside of Germany, preserves still traces of the culture brought by colonizers, mostly from Pomerania, a region of northern Germany. Stop at the Tourist Portal, visit the Porcelanas Schmidt shop, finally Museum, Zoo, Villa Encantada and Craft Brewery.

The St. Paul's Apostle Cathedral, Blumenau's main postcard, stands out for its bold architecture in red granite. Designed by renowned German architect Gottfried Böhm, the church was inaugurated in 1958 and rises in the city centre, attracting visitors for its modern style and imposing glass.
The headquarters of the Blumenau Prefecture is a historic enxaimel-style building inaugurated in 1978, inspired by Germany's oldest prefecture. Located in the Listing of the City - Prefecture of Blumenau, the administration governs the third largest city of Santa Catarina Blumenau – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, a large industrial, technological and university Listing of the City - Prefecture of Blumenau known for the festivals of Germanic origin.
The Villa Germânica Park is the main event and tourism complex of Blumenau. With more than 40,000 square meters, it reproduces a charming German Villa with enxaimel architecture. Home to Empório Villa Germânica, with restaurants, choperas and souvenir shops, acting as a great leisure center all year round.

Beautiful city! I went on a Sunday so local businesses were closed but I managed to visit the automobile museum, the toy museum, the Ponerano museum, the Zoo and the Pomeranian Bird. I took a train ride that takes you around the most important places in the city. As I went in April, the city was still decorated with Easter decorations, which made all the difference!
