Important Information
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- We offer single or tandem (2 seater) kayaks. Please specify which kayak you would prefer.
- The Emerald Cave is just a small cutout of the mountain for a great photo op!
- We provide life vests. Please specify which size you would prefer. S/M, L/XL, 2XL/3XL
- You will be meeting us at the marina. Have reliable transportation to meet us 30 minutes before your tour start time, there is NO cell service at the marina to call a ride share.

I cannot say enough good things about this experience! As someone who has never kayaked before, I was a bit nervous going in. However, Soren (our guide), was so knowledgeable and supportive - he quickly put us at ease! Soren explained everything we were doing and continually checked in on everyone, to make sure they didn’t need anything. During both the shuttle ride and the trip down the river, Soren gave us all sorts of information on what we were seeing, as well as the history of the area. There was so much to learn! And as a bonus, on the way back to the hotel, he took us to meet the donkey that hangs out under the bridge - such a highlight of the day! The trip was amazing. The lunch was delicious. Soren was a dream guide. Don’t hesitate - book this tour!

This trip was awesome!!! Our guide Calvin was the best-very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the wildlife. Calvin knew how to read the room and was genuinely fun to spend the day with-and patient with those of us who were a little bit slower! We were fortunate enough to see several bald eagles (or the same one several times) and a family of big horned sheep came up to the water's edge for some amazing photos. We booked the tour with lunch-and the food was great. Evolution made sure we had all the info we needed and also called us the morning of the trip to see if we had any last-minute questions. I highly recommend this kayak trip-and ask for Calvin!

The staff was fantastic! Soren was great, made the day fun. They gave us great instructions how to use the kayaks, plenty of education/information about the landscape and we saw a bald eagle, very cool. The cave was anticlimactic, just a little cove. The trip was a fun family event. Getting the kiddos outside was worth it!

Despite being late to the outing, our guide, Brianna, and the folks at Evolution waited on us. Very kind of them. Once we got oriented with the group, we were off quickly, paddling and enjoying the beautiful surroundings on the Colorado River. Brianna was very knowledgeable and a great guide. She kept an easy pace for the group, and was great to talk with about the ecology and history of the river. Because we were a smaller group, we got to paddle further upstream than usual tours, and had a nice beach area for lunch and a brisk swimming experience. We loved our tour, and would ask for Brianna to guide us on future visits.
