Black canyon kayak with Don ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We did the 4 mile kayak in Vegas in June. It was predictably hot, and due to the canyon also windy. But the scenery was gorgeous, the water incredible and our guide Don was outstanding, very knowledgeable. He had all kinds of fun facts and trivia and took excellent care of us. He even took photos of us and texted them to us the same day of the trip at no charge. The pit stop at a small beach afforded us a refreshing dip in the lake, a snack and cold water, and a short walk to a gorgeous scenic view of the lake and canyon! Would highly recommend both the trip and Don as your guide :)

Kayaking with Chelsea

We had the best time on our kayaking tour with Chelsea. She is an amazing guide, so knowledgeable, fun and is so friendly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with her. This tour is a must when going to Vegas. The scenery is beautiful, the water is so clear. It was all around a wonderful time.

Great Day Out On The Water

Fantastic Tour, spectacular views and a good pace. Chelsea our guide was very informative on providing the history of the dam. She was very enthusiastic and friendly making the experience perfect. She also sent pictures of me out on the water which I was not expecting. Would recommend the tour to anyone.

Once in a lifetime trip with Don

I cannot stress this enough, this was the best trip ever, the highlight of our trip and an experience of a lifetime. Our guide Don was amazing, he was friendly, kind and funny and let you to your own devices as much as possible. Something which I feel is important when you can kayak and don’t want people telling you what to do and where to go etc. Don only got involved when he felt something bad could happen to you or if a technique was adjusted it would be easier for you! The scenery was unreal and we were lucky enough to see a bald eagle, long horned sheep and lizard, as a lover of wildlife it was amazing to see that. The Emerald cave was so cool and beautiful and Don did a great job capturing the moment for us. Mid way through you get a lovely dip on the river which was a high point for me. I would recommend this to anyone even in the summer months. If two Irish people can do it in 43 degree Celsius then you definitely can!

A wonderful day trip kayaking down the Black Canyon!

We had a fantastic experience with Blazing Paddles. The pickup was smooth after we had an early morning helicopter trip with five star helicopter services, who connected seamlessly with Blazing Paddles in order to get us down to the Black Canyon. Chelsea was our guide and she was full of energy and great information. Myself, my wife and our 11-year-old son had a blast on what was a perfect day of kayaking. After the experience, Chelsea sent us over 20 photos she had taken of us during the trip which was unexpected and a wonderful souvenir. Very highly recommended.

Great day on the water

We had a great day in the water with Salah from Blazing Paddles. She was our driver and our guide. Pickup and drop off was easy. She is very knowledgeable about the area, history and made our trip a wonderful experience. Four mile paddle round trip. Afternoon winds can be a problem for new boaters so hug the shore and find a comfortable rhythm. Highly recommend Salah at Blazing Paddles.

We opted for the van...

We opted for the van pickup which was from a nearby hotel. It was very convenient. Don, our driver and guide, was great and told us about the areas we drove through. There was a brief stop at their headquarters for some quick paperwork and options for snacks or any supplies we forgot (sunscreen, waterproof phone case, etc.). At the river he gave kayaking instruction and an overview of the trip. It was wonderful! He took lots of pictures of the group and it was a lot of fun! Just the right amount of exercise & excitement and the views were amazing! Our trip had 6 other people on the tour, kids, adults and we're in the 50+ age range, and everyone was able to paddle, though it can be difficult at times. The wind can be very strong! Hats with ties are helpful, sunglasses and sunscreen are a must!

No regrets!

We had a wonderful day with our guide Chris. On our half-day trip, we saw mountain goats, ducks, beautiful canyon landscape, Emerald Cave, and gorgeous water. Chris gave us lots of interesting information about what we were seeing along the way...electrolytes from a bush, why do we say “smell the rain", cactus pointing directions, where's the eagle?...These are things you’ll have to go find out from him. Chris is also very adept at his trade so I felt comfortable that he could handle an emergency if needed. Somethings I was concerned about before the trip that were NOT a problem: My husband is large. He fit in the kayak just fine. We're active, but don't work out. We handled the length of the trip just fine. The temps were around 100. The water is where you want to be. At 52 degrees, you stay refreshed. Is it worth the money? Absolutely!
