Itinerary
Visit a historic Venetian bakery and street food shop, serving locals since 1905. Here, we’ll taste a classic mortadella, pesto and buffalo mozarella pizza.
Enjoy a glass of DOCG Prosecco paired with two traditional Venetian bites: a savory meatball and polenta topped with shrimp in saor, combining local flavors with a sparkling touch.
Take a panoramic stroll through Cannaregio, exploring the charming Ponte Chiodo, Venice’s only bridge without railings, and the historic Misericordia. Enjoy picturesque canals, quiet alleyways, and the authentic Venetian atmosphere.
As the world's first ghetto, it remains an indelible symbol of resilience and the complex interplay of diverse communities in Venice.
Where tradition meets innovation. Step inside to savor a tasting of creamy artichoke risotto paired with a local wine or beer, enjoying authentic Venetian flavors in a warm, inviting setting.
Pass through Venice’s Jewish Ghetto at Campo de Gheto Novo, one of the oldest in Europe. Explore its historic streets, learn about its rich cultural heritage, and soak in the unique atmosphere of this historic Venetian quarter.
Cozy Venetian bacaro where you will enjoy a spritz-making demo, learning about its history. Sip on a classic spritz and taste two traditional cicchetti, tiny sandwiches with codfish & sadrines or shrimp in saor.
From November to February, end at Pasticceria Nobile and get ready for a Tiramisù, the most famous Italian dessert.
From March to October, close the tour with a creamy, fresh gelato.

Delicious and plentiful Venetian food and beverage pairings, excellent and very personable and knowledgeable local Venetian guide, Anna. Informative tour of the quieter Cannaregio area, away from the tourist traps and crowds. 5 stops, 3 were indoor where we could relax a bit longer to enjoy talking with Anna and other attendees while seated at tables. I booked this 4 pm tour direct with Eating Europe after having an incredible experience with their evening tour in Prague. Both were top notch!
What a great tour guide! Cecilia loves her city and puts everything into her tours. Her English is terrific as is her sense of humor and interest in everyone on the tour. The food selection was delicious and the stories that she told about what we were eating and drinking was really interesting.
We have done five tours in Italy so far and this tour has been the best! Thank you SO much Anna (our guide)!!! The history of Venice was so unique and interesting and the food was AMAZING!!!
Anna was EXCELLENT. Local knowledge, personable and highly entertaining. I would recommend this tour with teenage children.
We have been on a lot of food tours throughout Europe and Vanessa did an outstanding job not only explaining the food and drinks, but also sharing the history and culture of Venice. She was awesome! It was also a very warm summer day in Venice and Vanessa did a great job finding shade for us to walk in and find relief in air conditioned restaurants to enjoy our food and drinks. This next part is a suggestion for the tour company and this may just be the appetite of a hungry American, but I wish the tour included one more taste of food and drink or a more substantial meal at the last restaurant. All of the dishes we had were smaller in size and while my wife wasn’t still hungry, I stopped to get a piece of lasagna after the tour ended, as I was still hungry.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your thoughtful 5-star review! We're thrilled to hear that Vanessa made such a positive impression. She truly loves sharing Venice's food, history, and culture, and we're delighted that her knowledge and care—especially in helping the group stay as comfortable as possible during the summer heat—made your experience so enjoyable. We also really appreciate your constructive feedback about the portion sizes. Our tours are designed to offer a variety of authentic tastings across several local venues, giving guests the opportunity to experience different flavors and traditions throughout the journey. That said, we understand that appetites vary, and we're grateful you took the time to share your perspective. Feedback like yours helps us continue to evaluate and improve our experiences. Thank you again for choosing to explore Venice with us. We hope to welcome you and your wife on another Eating Europe tour in the future!
Vanessa was wonderful and full of interesting knowledge. We would definitely use her again and again and again.

Dear Joshua, thanks a lot for the 5 stars! Look forward to welcoming you again!
This food tour was a great way to experience the food of Venice, and obtain information on the history of the area. Flavia was an outstanding guide, and used stories to increase our understanding of Venetian food. We made five stops and tried everything from pizza to gelato. Walking some of the back lanes of the city provided a sense of the Venice often not seen. This is an excellent tour, and given by a very knowledgeable guide. Thanks to Flavia for sharing your knowledge of food, history and architecture as well as your love of Venice.
Dear guest, We’re so grateful for your wonderful review! It’s fantastic to know you loved the tour and appreciated our guide Flavia. Can’t wait to welcome you again on a new foodie experience!
A lovely tour through Venice to wrap up our trip. Unfortunately, this was during the unprecedented heat wave and even though the tour was at 4:00 pm, the heat was intense. This was no fault of the tour director but only mentioned so that others take heed of the weather. Eating Europe tours are our favorite!
