At the beginning of December in the cold, but well equipped, we were able to enjoy a cultural bike ride with electric assistance from old Lyon to the Parc de la tête d'or. The tour ends with a tasting "in street syrup". A beautiful discovery in this shop of old Lyon, with products at the top.

It was really fun and we got to see a lot of the city. The electric bikes made it easy to cycle all around and we loved the “Tete d’or park”

Very nice bike ride, where you visit the 2 hills of Lyon with an e-bike. Very nice look out, tourist attractions and nice Guide

Tip: In Lyon, there are many stations where you can rent a public bike for a nominal fee with the simple tap of a credit card. These stations are better priced, more reliable, and more honest than the operators of ComhiC. My booking experience was the first bad sign. I requested a private e-bike tour, the company was slow to respond, and eventually sent booking paperwork riddled with mistakes (wrong kind of tour, wrong price, etc). Tip: check and double-check any documentation from this company. It got worse when, due to flooding on the Rhone river, my river cruise was rerouted, and I could not make it to Lyon for my scheduled tour. I explained to ComhiC that I was unable to get to Lyon due to weather circumstances beyond my control, and instead of showing sympathy, they mocked me by asserting the weather was “great” in Lyon. Here are the business’ own words (quotation from their email): “It is written that WE are able to cancel in case of bad or dangerous weather (such as heavy rain or wind). However, the weather in Lyon is great, the tour can take place.” Later, when I requested a refund, the business tried to rewrite history by falsely claiming to have offered alternate accommodations that they in fact had never offered. I could understand a company’s point of view if they were to firmly insist that their booking was non-refundable (not the kindest customer service, but understandable). But it is incomprehensible why Comhic makes up false excuses and mocks their customer’s bad luck when trying to justify their refusal to issue a refund. In fairness, if you are lucky enough for good weather, no transit delays, and no mistakes by ComhiC, the experience may be ok. But if anything goes wrong, ComhiC will look out for itself, not you. If you must do business with ComhiC, don’t give them your credit card number, and pay only in cash when (and if) they have actually delivered the promised experience. ComhiC may reply to this review, but since they have a habit of making false excuses, be skeptical of any claims they make in reply.
Thank you for your review but you missed to mention few things... 😉 Firstly, we responded to you right on time. You are not the only customer; we have hundred of emails per day. We responded to your booking just few hours after your first mail. And you were very happy that we were more than accomodating with all you demands. You decided to privatized a tour, so that is what we did. Tip: there is no company that will privatize a group, a time slot and a guide without asking you a credit card as a deposit. If you do not want to put your credit card on hold, you can do like everyone else and do a tour with other people. Secondly, 4 days before your visit, you tried to changed the date, and we accepted this changes. But the same day, you decide to cancel the change of date. Ok fine. You tried again and again to change dates, and we accepted it EVERYTIME ! Tip: we can adapt ourselves to your demand but we have other groups and a calendar that we need to maintained. Thirdly, we are not responsible of your boat nor the weather. You mention it in you review, the company is the only one who can decide to cancel the tour. We can cancel a tour in case of really bad rain or there is case of emergency (such as war, terrorist attack or natural disaster). Tip: on that day, it was perfectly fine, and we cannot cancel your tour. We really hope that you enjoyed your trip with your boat. Best regards
