Douro Valley unforgettable experiences

This tour was a highlight of our time in Portugal. Andreia and Valdemar were incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, and gave us a thoughtful and fun day that highlighted the beauty of the area. They’re from the region and, both with their own stories and experiences and by connecting us with people who worked at the quintas, allowed us to get to understand the region in a much deeper way than we would on another type of tour. The tastings were fantastic, and we loved our local lunch and boat ride. This is a day we won’t forget, and we appreciate how special they made it for us. The only tip that we have (apart from making sure you book this tour) is to leave space in your case for all the incredible port wines and olive oils that you will pick up along the way!

Fantastic day! Ándreia and her husband, Valdemere, were fantastic tour guides. Valdemere navigated the roads beautifully and Andreia was so passionate and knowledgeable about her country. Loved the small family wineries and the lunch was one of our best meals. Best tour we have been on in Portugal!

Excellent wine tour with beautiful scenery, great wines, and a relaxing boat trip. Our guide was fantastic and even surprised me with two Super Bock beers during the excursion, which was a nice touch! The entire experience was well-organized, enjoyable, and a great way to spend the day. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Trip was amazing! Our hosts were the absolute best. Andreia Douro Tours were the absolute best!!!! They were knowledgeable, down to earth, fun and had such great insight in the region having grown up here. A true authentic experience.

The small group made us feel connected and we were able to move at a good pace. Andreia provided us with a lot of history and heritage about the area. Both winery's offered great insight into the making of wine, including port wine. We also enjoyed a generous amount of wine and Moscatel with lunch which was very noteworthy. Also to note was Valdemar's excellent driving. He navigated the winding roads with skillfulness and made us feel safe. Overall, we would recommend this tour group to those looking to support a small business, learn more about local history, and move at a relaxed pace. Thank you Andreia and Valdemar!

A very beautiful experience with a very interesting and engaged guide, along with her experienced driver husband (as the roads of the Douro can be complex to navigate!). This package is a nice mix of vineyard visits (one a bit commercial, and the other very family-oriented). There is also a small boat cruise (without service, but the guides graciously provided us with drinks and fresh fruit to support us during the 50 minutes that the cruise lasted). We were picked up at our accommodation and taken back to our accommodation at the end, which is frankly amazing considering that the day is very full, thus tiring. And finally, the lunch is beyond all expectations. We had lunch at a restaurant and the table was full of delicious and typical food. Thank you!
