Doctor's Cave has been one of the most famous beaches in Jamaica for nearly a century. It is noted for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and near-white sand. Its sheltered location provides calm waters. While at the check-in counter, you might want to inquire about renting beach chairs and umbrellas (optional). You can also get yourself settled on the beach and then go back later to get them. Beautiful palm, coconut and sea grape trees provides nice shaded areas where you can lay out on your towels as well. Be sure to take your towels, sunblock, sun glass. Several water sporting activities that are available at a fee including snorkeling gears. There are bars and cafes where you can hang-out and have a beer or even have a sandwich or local hot lunches.
Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is located on the edge of the cliffs along the Hip Strip up the street from Doctors Cave Beach. It is undoubtedly the best place for you to hang-out with a special person or for a family retreat after your amazing experience at the world famous Doctors Cave Beach. Enjoy the 120ft long waterslide or bounce away on one of the many water trampolines floating in the water park. Crisp, clear Caribbean water is waiting to hug you as you make that splash from the water slide. Classic American and local Jamaican jerk chicken and pork dishes are served along with iced-cold drinks and reggae music. The best margaritas are served up on a daily basis. Don’t forget to grab your favorite Margaritaville souvenir or memorabilia before you leave. If you are on an extended vacation in Montego Bay don’t forget to return in the night for the dance club segment up till 2am.

First off I want to say our driver, Terry, was awesome! Very friendly, just like all Jamaicans, and he is a Montego Bay local. I’m not sure what I was expecting but I think I was looking for a one stop shop tour guide and this really wasn’t that. It was more like hiring a private driver for the day. Unfortunately Terry was “not very good at history” which was kind of something I was looking forward to. Margaritaville is also permanently closed, at least for the moment, and apparently it has been for months… so don’t expect to do that. We did not go shopping at the town center but we were taken to a shop that overlooked the city and had an AMAZING view. It was probably for the better because we weren’t hassled and the downtown shop owners can be aggressive. We got all the souvenirs we were looking for but we’re easy to please and were just looking for some basics. We did go to DR.’s Cove Beach, and spent the majority of our 3 hours of beach time trying to get lunch/bar service. There was a cruise ship in town and the place was packed. Definitely NOT worth the trip for us as our resort’s beach was just as nice, less packed, and has much more attentive staff. Again, our driver was awesome and i tipped him well for being so pleasant, but the excursion itself really wasn’t worth the price IMO.
Sorry to hear about your experience. We will try to make it to you next time. Yes the beach gets crowded on cruise ship days but we don’t have any control over that.
The water was nice to bounce in the waves. It got deep quickly. The beach was crowded but not unpleasantly so. The kids enjoyed it especially.
We had a great time. An excellent tour guide, Terry he was awesome. I would definitely use this company again for our travel needs. Clean vehicle, arrives on time and great customer service.

It was GREAT our driver picked us up in one piece and dropped us off in one piece stopped where we wanted to shop and eat

The beach was so beautiful I wish we had more time at the beach overall it was a great experience. Margaritaville was nice I enjoyed the food, and course on the water. Our driver Damian was informative and nice.

The experience was okay the beach was beautiful just not the hype that I read in most reviews at the margaritaville… the driver Terrick was very awesome and welcoming.. but all in all it was an okay experience.. the stars are based on my experience not the car service.. the car service was amazing
Had a great experience on this excursion. Our driver Odain was prompt. He was very nice and had great info about where we were going. He stayed with us the whole time. Doctor Caves beach was amazing! Margaritaville was such a cool place and the food was great! Highly recommend this trip.

For the price of this tour, it would have been better to take a $20 taxi to the beach. Doctor's cave beach is beautiful. Love the sand and the water. Amazing location. Margaritaville was very loud and busy. COuld not order due to noise. Skip it. Shopping was the driver taking us to his relative's place. Got mad when we wanted to go to another shop. Having said that, the driver was very friendly. He doens't make the price.
