You will visit the handicraft area of the Roberto Huembes Market, a place full of color, tradition, and Nicaraguan culture. Here, you can see and purchase hammocks, ceramics, hand-painted artwork, traditional textiles, and many unique souvenirs. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local artisans and take a piece of Nicaragua home with you.

30 min

At Tiscapa Hill, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the city of Managua, Lake Xolotlán, and the silhouette of the Momotombo Volcano in the background. You’ll learn about the history of Somoza’s former bunker, the site’s importance during the revolution, and see up close the iconic silhouette of Sandino. The panoramic photos here are simply incredible!

30 min

You will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Managua, one of the most modern and unique churches in Central America. Its architectural design is very different from traditional cathedrals: sober, contemporary, and full of symbolism. You’ll learn about its history, why it was built this way after the 1972 earthquake, and what it represents for the people of Managua today. It’s a spiritual and photogenic space, surrounded by palm trees and tranquility.

20 min

The historic Revolution Square, one of the most important landmarks in Managua. You’ll learn about its role throughout Nicaragua’s political history, from the Somoza dictatorship to the Sandinista Revolution. From here, you can see the National Palace of Culture and the Old Cathedral. It’s a place full of history, memory, and architecture — perfect for understanding the country’s past and present while taking excellent photos.

10 min

One of Managua’s most iconic landmarks: the Old Cathedral of Santiago. This majestic structure was severely damaged by the 1972 earthquake, yet its architectural beauty remains impressive. You’ll learn about its construction, European influence, and why it still stands as an important symbol for Nicaraguans today. It’s a place full of history, perfect for unique photos and reflecting on the city’s past.

20 min

Xolotlán Park, a recreational space by the lake that blends history, art, and fun. We’ll walk through replicas of old Managua houses from before the earthquake, see a city model, and even a historic airplane. It’s a unique and visual experience, perfect for photos if you’re traveling with kids or interested in seeing what Managua looked like in the past. Here, nostalgia meets urban creativity.

10 min

You’ll walk along the Managua Boardwalk, a lakeside promenade where the breeze, palm trees, and urban scenery come together. From here, you can spot the distant Momotombo Volcano, take photos at the colorful “Te ❤️ MGA” sign, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere this space offers. It’s the perfect spot to breathe fresh air, see the city from a different angle, and end the tour with tranquility and good vibes.

Admission included30 min

The tour ends at Salvador Allende Port, a modern tourist complex on the shores of Lake Xolotlán. Here, you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants, cafés, and areas to relax with a beautiful waterfront view. It’s a popular spot among locals and visitors, perfect for unwinding after the tour, enjoying a refreshing drink, or simply taking in the scenery. Felt Like Exploring the City with a Friend

Had an amazing day touring Managua with my guide, Eliot. He was very knowledgeable of all the sites and history of the city and extremely polite! You’re in good hands with this tour company! Recommend going around 3:00 pm to avoid the heat and so you get the added bonus of seeing the last stop lit up in the evening!!

I had a wonderful time visiting Managua and my guide Eilliot was great! He showed me the main spots of the city and also explained carefully the history behind these places. 3-4 h is sufficient to do the tour, especially if you don’t have a lot of time available.

Awe city tour

Hell, I forgot my guides name and I think it is very important to them to have it mentioned. But,???, I will say this, top of the line tour, enjoyed myself very much, I have been here for a little while and I did book a private tour, so when he came, I wanted to adjust the tour which I did and had very easy time doing it. So 5 stars and two thumps highly recommended

Great Excursion !

I really enjoyed this tour with Eliot. This tour did something a lot of other tours don’t do, which they give you some time to get some lovely souvenirs at the artisan market. I recommend the tour in the afternoon so that you can catch the sunset. All the places were great to see and if you would like the typical food you can get taken to a local place. Great tour to see everything Managua has especially when you are short on time.

Amazing tour and guide.

Elias was amazing and so helpful. Spoke English like a pro. He made sure we would enjoy our tour by recommending that we go in afternoon to help avoid the heat and see an amazing sunset to complete our tour. We will definitely do this again and recommend to everyone who simply bypasses Managua on their way to other cities in Nica. Elias showed us parts of Managua we never knew existed. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited. Thank you Elias you helped complete an amazing 3 weeks in Nica.
