Discover Sherry in Jerez

Description
Guided tour to a winery and relaxed Sherry and Brandy tasting straight from the barrel. Introduction to the ancient relationship of the Jerezanos to the wine while walking through the historic center to the bodega (about 15 minutes), visiting places that tell us something about that history. At the winery, we learn first hand everything about the production of Sherry and Brandy. Of course, we also take time to taste these fine wines and spirits, most of them directly in the wine cellar. This tour is designed only for small groups – I prefer a familiar atmosphere.

Andreas was a very nice guide. We liked the walk to the bodega while he explained important historical events and facts about the vino de Jerez. The tasting was was a great experience! We didn’t know anything about Sherry wines before and now we are enjoying them.
Thanks a lot, Rebecca, great to hear that!
The tour through Jerez and the small bodega was exceptional and very personal. Andreas is a fantastic guide giving us an insight into the wines of Jerez. We have not only learned a lot but also enjoyed the tour immensely.
Thanks a lot, great to hear that! :-)
We had a great tour. We learned about how sherry added to economic development over 100s of years in Jerez and the region as a whole. We learned about the different categories of sherry and we tasted the sherry from the barrels. We also learned about and tasted brandy.
Thank you, Lara! It was great to have you here. Continue to enjoy your holiday!
We had a very nice tour with a short walk through the city and a visit to a sherry bodega with Andreas. Andreas is very competent, nice and patiently answers really every question. We had a wonderful time, learned a lot worth knowing and tasted delicious sherry. Especially great was the small group, so it was a lot of fun. Thank you so much!
Herzlichen Dank an euch, für das Interesse, die Bewertung und die Fotos! Und bitte weiter fleißig trainieren! ;-)
Andreas was a highly qualified and experienced guide. He deeply brought us into the amazing world of vines from Jerez (= Sherry). We degustated the very old vines - more than 20 years - directly out of the wodden barrels - marvelous!
Great to hear that! :-) It was a pleasure to have you here, Alexander, and thanks a lot for sharing the photos!
Beautiful tour! This was a history in a glass of sherry tour with a walk through Jerez which brings the sherry nectar to life!
Thanks a lot, Mandeep, beautiful review! :-) Your visit was inspiring!
Andreas showed us the winery explaining all the processes step by step. It is rating that it is his passion and that he lives it from within. We loved both the visits to the winery and the tasting. With each tasting you discover new flavors and understand why that wine is so special and different from the rest.
Muchas gracias por el comentario! Me alegra que hayáis disfrutado de la visita y de estos magníficos vinos.
Our guide, Andreas Rottmann, was so welcoming, knowledgeable and courteous. We had a wonderful tour, both in the streets of a Jerez, and at the bodega. If you love sherry, this is the tour for you! Spectacular day, we learned about how sherry is made, and enjoyed the tasting, loved the tastings! 5 Stars!
Thank you very much, for your visit and the review. It makes me happy that you enjoyed the experience. Hope to see you again!
First we got nice guided tour of the old town, then we got a much appreciated tour of Bodegan with sherry and brandy tasting. Top rating
Thank you very much for coming and for the review. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour. Good luck with the Sverry! :-)
A very pleasant tour. We met Andreas in a city centre location, then had a relaxed walk for about 15 minutes to the bodega. During that time Andreas told us something about the history of sherry. At the bodega we looked around the premises and tasted five sherries plus one brandy, some of them drawn from the barrel. The tour really helped our appreciation of the drink, and Andreas' English was very clear. I would suggest this tour needs to be better classified in Trip Advisor. It is listed under 'Tours' but not under 'Food & Drink' so would be easy for someone searching for a sherry experience to miss.
Thanks a lot for your visit John and also for the suggestion! I will see if I can improve the classification.
