We had a great time with our knowledgeable tour guide Kevin. He did his best to tailor the experience for us as we had a private tour. We spent the first half of the tour at the war remnants museum and the rest of the tour walking around the main sights in the city. I’d say it’s a perfect tour for a short visit - we only had 3 days in HCMC and 3h tour was the perfect amount of time to get a brief overview of the city and its history.
Friendly, flexible and informal. Kevin was a perfect guide and his knowledge and relaxed manner suited us.
Very friendly, flexible and knowledgeable tour guide. Just the right amount of time to absorb the story of Vietnam.
Victor gave us an excellent introduction to Ho Chi Minh city. It's not just the buildings but the stories behind them that count. Very friendly, patient and excellent English.
Victor was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Ho Chi Minh. His English was very good and he even recommended a good restaurant close to our hotel.
We had a wonderful time with Victor on our walking tour of Saigon. He shared lots of information about his culture and the history of Saigon. We had a wonderful beverage at the end of the tour and enjoyed his company there. If you are a sensitive soul like me, the war museum may be a little hard. It made me cry. But it is a good reminder that we need peace and to be kind to others always.
This tour with Kevin was absolutely incredible! His passion for his work shines through in every story he tells. Kevin is kind, patient, and a truly gifted storyteller. It was just my wife and me on the tour today, and we had a fantastic time from start to finish. We began at the War Remnants Museum, where Kevin gave us a full hour to explore at our own pace. Afterwards, he shared insightful perspectives on Vietnam’s history—thoughtful, balanced, and genuinely fascinating. Towards the end of the tour, he even treated us to some amazing coffee. When we mentioned that we were looking to buy good coffee beans, Kevin went out of his way to pick some up from a place he trusts and personally dropped them off at our hotel. We were deeply touched by his generosity and hospitality. 10/10 would wholeheartedly recommend taking this tour with Kevin and his team. An unforgettable experience!
I loved seeing Ho Chi Minh through Kevin’s eyes! He was so passionate and so knowledgeable; it was an emotionally tender, and beautiful experience to learn more about this amazing city with him
Thank you so much for your great review! It was a lovely tour with you and hope to see you again real soon in the future! Cheers
Kevin was very accommodating when we let him know we’d be a little late because of traffic. He was also able to juggle things so we could get back to our bus in time for transportation back to our ship. That said, a couple of things were disappointing. One of the main items on the tour, the cathedral, was completely covered in scaffolding and closed for renovation. We wish another venue could have been substituted. Kevin was very eager for us to see the War Remnants Museum. Although we booked the tour knowing this was included, we would have preferred to have a shorter time there with less emphasis on the horrors of war and less “lecturing” that felt to us like propaganda. We lived through the Vietnam War; Kevin did not. We know it was an awful time for his country and for ours. We would have preferred to experience the new, energized and engaged Vietnam, rather than its past. We enjoyed the end of the tour on the Book Street with a stop at a coffee shop and would have loved to spend more time exploring that street and other interesting neighborhoods of Ho Chi Minh City.
Thank you for your review and hope to see you again in the near future. Cheers!
