Discover Las Palmas city on your own

Description
Enjoy a hassle-free day in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with direct bus service from your resort, accompanied by a guide for the full round trip. Once in the city, you'll have 4–5 hours of free time to explore at your own pace. The city offers two distinct areas worth visiting, around 5 km apart — easy to connect by taxi or local bus: Vegueta & Triana: Wander the historic old town, home to the Cathedral of Santa Ana, Casa Colón, the Canarian Museum, and the lively Vegueta Market. Don't miss the Triana neighbourhood, known for its modernist architecture, excellent restaurants, and boutique shopping. Port & Las Canteras Beach: Start at Santa Catalina Park, steps from the Mercado del Puerto food hall, the Elder Museum of Science and Technology, and Poema del Mar aquarium. End the day at Las Canteras, one of Spain's finest urban beaches. Nearby, the López y Mesa shopping street is home to El Corte Inglés and major retail chains.

A very pleasant excursion. The city of the palms of great Canarias very welcoming. Driver and guide very attentive at all times
We done Las Palmas on your own trip , the only negative was the feeder bus picking up at various resorts before you get on the tour bus as this was a tiring process & the mini bus was not the most comfortable with little room , However we got dropped at a central location & Las Palmas itself was easy to get around yourself. We enjoyed the old town area where Cathedral is with lots of little hidden quarters to meander around, also headed to main shopping street where they is loads of outside cafe/ bars to sit& people watch. We were also given the option on the bus to join the tour for an extra 10 euro which we declined as prefer to explore on our own . Pricing for the trip was excellent value as traveling on public transport was only 2 euros cheaper with many stops . Will definitely do this again when we return next year .
We spent time exploring on foot. The old parts of Las Palmas are well worth a visit especially Triana. Taxis are plentiful if you haven’t a ca
