We bring you to Wonosobo where you will be able to see dramatic mountain scenery as we travel through Sindoro - Sumbing Valley, passing through tobacco & tea plantations. We will visit the popular crater (kawah) around Dieng Plateau which is the Sikidang Crater (Kawah Sikidang) then move on to Arjuna Temples Complex. Candi-candi (ancient temples) dotted around, the most famous being the Arjuna complex not because of its magnificence, what not with the likes of Borobudur and Prambanan not too far off but for its really old age. Here you can find Candi Arjuna, Candi Setiyaki and Candi Bima. They are one of the oldest temples in Indonesia, dating back to 8th century built by the Sanjaya dynasty. It had stood the test of time for a long, long time. Last but not least, the must visit attraction is to Telaga Warna (colored lake). The name stands as the lake hues of blue and maybe some slight green. Try to walk up the hill beside it to catch a top view of the lake which can be quite beautiful if you caught it during the right light of day. 2.30 PM: Transfer to your hotel in Yogyakarta city 5.00 PM: Drop off at your hotel

Long drive but nice refreshing scenery along the way. The Dieng plateau is just huge ancient caldera - now with vegetable and tobacco patches all the way to the top
The flight was smooth. Service great. Immigration smooth. People in Yogjakarya are polite and obliging. Best part of all - cheap, cheap, cheap.
I had a fun time on this day trip out of Yogyakarta. It's a long drive to Dieng Plateau from the city but the scenery is lovely and my driver was amazing - so friendly and professional. Everything from the Arjuna Temple to the Sikidang Crater to Telaga Warna lake was well worth visiting.
We had a great time during this trip. However, the day started a bit shaky as there was a miscommunication between the agency and the driver. The driver originally assigned to us didn't know about our trip. A replacement driver was assigned and we started an hour late. But that didn't hamper our trip. We visited Ratapan Angin, Arjuna temple, and the Sikidang Crater. Each place was amazing. Our driver Bejo was great and was very fun to drive along with.
It was a very long drive from Yogyakarta (around 4-4.5 hours), but pretty well worth it. The views you get from the top are outstanding, as was the Anjula Temple complex. My driver, Anang, was knowledgeable and incredibly kind...he even took me to Pawon coffee afterwards, at my request, where I got to pet a luwak...a truly memorable experience, indeed.
Our driver/guide Doro (Sorry if I spelled it incorrectly), picked us up from the hotel and we went on a long drive to Dieng Plateau. The drive wasn't boring, as the scenery along the way was breathtaking and we would look left and right amazed at how beautiful and magical the place is. We took a short stop at a place going up and we took so many pictures and stayed there for over an hour, and Doro never rushed us and encouraged us to take more and he took some of them for us when we requested. We left there and went straight for the top. Arriving there we were blown away at how big and awe inspiring the place is. Even thought they were some tourists there, we basically had the place for ourselves and took pictures and videos till we were tired. Doro helped us take pictures and walked with us through all the good places. This tour is one of the best if not the best tour for Dieng Plateau, I would recommend this to everyone, the only downside is the drive which is 3 hours from the center of Yogyakarta , and so much worth it in my opinion.
