The Basílica Nuestra Señora del Pilar is a stunning example of colonial architecture and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Built in 1732, it is the second-oldest church in Buenos Aires, featuring a pristine white facade, ornate Baroque altarpieces, and a peaceful interior adorned with religious artwork.
Plaza General San Martín is one of Buenos Aires’ most iconic green spaces with mansions, located in the upscale Retiro neighborhood. This historic plaza, named after Argentina’s independence hero General José de San Martín, features beautifully landscaped gardens, towering palm trees, and impressive monuments.
We'll visit the modern waterfront district of Puerto Madero, where sleek skyscrapers meet historic warehouses. We will stop at the Puente de la Mujer, a stunning pedestrian bridge that elegantly spans the Rio de la Plata, a contemporary structure and great photo op.
We'll stroll around the colorful corners of La Boca and stroll down El Caminito, a charming, bohemian street filled with vibrant houses, tango and street art. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, where tango music echoes through the air and local artisans display their crafts.
We will explore the antique heart and soul of Buenos Aires in the historic neighborhood of San Telmo. Wander through the bustling San Telmo Market, where delicious food stalls, parrillas, antique vendors and artisan stalls beckon. Continue to Plaza de Dorrego, a picturesque square surrounded by cafes and colonial architecture, perfect for savoring the city's unique charm where the famous outdoor Sunday Market usually begins!
We will stop at the iconic La Casa Rosada or Pink House, the presidential palace that overlooks Plaza de Mayo. Explore the historic square, a central hub for political demonstrations and cultural events, and witness the poignant symbols of Argentina's struggle for independence.
We will visit the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, where General San Martin is laid to rest.
Sightseeing of the Obelisco on our way back to Recoleta!
