Dinner Cookout Ride at Heart Six Ranch

Such an incredible way to spend the evening! Our guide Kayley took us on a beautiful trail that opened to stunning views of the valley. The horses were all so sweet and the absolute best part was seeing what felt like 100 of them released into the ranch to roam freely after our rides. Dinner was very good too! My family made memories for a lifetime and would definitely do it again.

My son and I had a wonderful ride followed by some of the best food we had on our week long trip to the GT and Yellowstone area. Our guides were very knowledgeable and friendly!

This is a perfect activity if you have never rode a horse and just want to try. The ride was the right amount of time for beginners. The guide was kind, friendly and helped to calm and encourage one of our riders who was terrified due to past experiences that by the end she was glad she went through with it. The view from the top was just beautiful. Guides are encouraging and the front office was great to speak with. The cook did an awesome job with our meal. Thank you Heart 6 for an awesome time.

The trail ride was a great experience with plenty of wonderful views and well trained horses. However we had many issues with our experience. For one, we walked into the cafe and had a very awkward encounter. The server did not greet us as we came in, we waited several minutes for any acknowledgment and then we had to ask for a menu since we weren’t receiving any service, she refused to make eye contact with us, even while speaking with us. It’s also advertised as an ice cream shop, but it’s not shown on the menu and when you ask for the options, they only had vanilla and chocolate. It was just an uncomfortable encounter that resulted in us walking out and leaving. Then when we went to fill out waivers for the horseback ride, they took my card information for a “20% automatic gratuity”. I already paid over $300 for a trail ride and dinner, and you’re going to automatically take an additional charge for something that I already paid in full for? How about you pay your employees better if you automatically take “gratuity”. In all honesty, I probably would’ve tipped more if I was the one who decided, but once they forced me to tip 20%, i decided they weren’t going to get another dime from me. They claim it was because it was a large group. Online it’s advertised as a small group and it was just the 2 of us on our own reservation. It’s not my fault your business overbooked or just lies online, but I’m not going to be forced into an additional fee that’s not advertised because of a “large group” of strangers who I don’t know. Originally the staff said there was only 9 reservations booked ahead of time as of that morning, but by the time of the trail ride there was 30. Also, a group was late, which then delayed our ride and also forced us to be late. If you do the simple math, across all of their forms of income, they make plenty of money on a daily basis to pay employees and upkeep of the ranch. Treat your staff better and don’t be greedy, I’ll tip however I decide AFTER I see the quality of the service provided. I want to emphasize, the ranch hands are all great and do their job exceptionally well, the trail ride is beautiful and stunning, horses have the most wonderful personalities, the food was delicious, but the way the business side of things are ran needs improvement. Even with these qualities, I would not recommend, nor come back. There is plenty of other options in the area that I would check out.

The wranglers were great. They were good to pair you with a horse that suited your level of experience. The scenery was beautiful. The horses were well-behaved. The cookout after was good. Plenty of food!

My friend and I did the dinner cookout ride while visiting the area and man, what a great experience! There were about 15 riders in the group with one guide in front and one in the back. They were pretty efficient at getting everyone mounted on the horses, briefed, and ready to go. The views along the way were stunning and they stopped at a great location to take pictures of everyone with the Tetons as the backdrop. After the ride, dinner was waiting for us. They did not skimp on the food, there's no way you would leave there hungry! While eating, we got to watch them move the horses from the stables area, down the road to the open pasture. Watching the horses enter the field and run free with the mountains in the distance was pretty spectacular. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!!

This is truly the best experience for first time horseback riders! The horses are well trained which made a fabulous experience riding in the mountains. Our trail guide, Lars, was so knowable and personal.

The views of the Grand Tetons were absolutely beautiful and were the highlight of the experience. The scenery alone made for some great photos and memorable moments. Unfortunately, the horseback ride itself was underwhelming. The horses appeared to be on "autopilot," simply following the trail with very little interaction or engagement. The ride consisted largely of walking through sage fields for approximately 1½ hours, which was not what we expected based on the description. The cookout afterward was even more disappointing. When we arrived, there were no staff members present to greet guests or provide instructions. There were no plates available, and my girlfriend ultimately had to walk over to the corral area to find someone who could assist. Once the meal was served, the steaks were cold and the overall food quality was poor. While the views of the Tetons were spectacular, the ride and cookout experience did not provide the value or quality we expected.

This was an amazing experience. The actual horse ride was really fun with absolutely breathtaking views. Our guide, Chelsey, was incredible!! She was so warm and friendly and knowledgeable! The dinner afterwards was delicious and fun! Then we got to see “The Push”, where they pushed the horses out to pasture. I took my 12-year-old granddaughter with me and she was enthralled with it all. She said, “I loved every minute of it!” I would highly recommend this experience!!

Nice staff, friendly horses, easy for beginners, 1hr and 45 min on the horse, food was good, not fancy but filling, nice mountain and river views along trail. A little pricey but overall enjoyed it
