You will be picked from your hotels or accommodations in Diani. Once you book, kindly advise your hotel receptionist that a guide will pick you up.
This market is locally known as Ibiza. You will appreciate how locals do their trade and survive in an unstaged manner. Locals here sell all manner of items from cloths to food.
This stop is optional but very fulfilling. You will pass by the local school, especially when there are no classes. You will see the appreciation of the school kids to visitors. If you have any learning material that can help kids, it is important to carry it. Photographs with children is discouraged.
You will then be welcomed to the village by locals. You will dance with them as well as appreciate how they live. They will open their doors to see their houses. Apart from enjoying their dances, you will also see how they prepare their local delicacy (ugali), cashew nuts, and climb the palm tree to harvest the traditional wine.
You will then pass by a traditional habalist. You will appreciate how the locals used to use locally available herbs to treat most of the diseases. Untill now they still do so.
