Pros: - Very interesting and unusual experience - Allows you to live through a slice of everyday life in total darkness - A must-do for anyone working with A11Y and WCAG Cons: - A bit hard to find the entrance as there was very little info about where in the building (big mall) it actually is (look for an elevator).
At the begining,it makes me feel strange. But it's really fun if you adapt to the circumstance. If you know their secret at last, you will probably feel moving. ALL IN ALL.This is an unforgettable experience
Except for normal experimental exhibition tours, which you would also be able to experience the world of visually impaired people, Dialogue in the Dark also offers other experiences like Love in the Dark, Adventure in the Dark, Dinner in the Dark, etc. I did Love in the Dark with my boyfriend and it was amazing. We shared a white cane together and navigated in the dark and got tested for a little bit on how we know each other. We got a little sharing session in the end with our tour guide Daniel, in which he would share his story and answer any questions we raised. He was absolutely being helpful and informative. Also, if you would like to do any of the tours in English or Mandarin and you don't see sessions with that language in the booking system, you can simply message them on Facebook or Whatsapp and they would try their best to arrange a new session for you.
We went as a family with a 9 and 5 year old. Even though our 5 year old was apprehensive to start off with she got into it after about 10 minutes. We were in total darkness but guided around the different 'locations' by our guide, Joanne, who herself is visually impaired. Our 9 year old son was fascinated and it really helped him develop a greater understanding of what a world without sight is like. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is slightly off the usual tourist trail but only a 5 minute walk from Mei Foo MTR. It isn't well advertised and when we went there were no other visitors. They only do small tours of 8 people at a time so you are taken care of. They said that due to the cost of the rent of the location they can't look further ahead than September, so their future is uncertain. This will be such a shame if it closes. Locals and tourist need to know about this wonderful experience and they deserve to continue to bring aware about visual impairment to all. They employ those with disabilities, which is another plus for this place. Thanks for a great day out!

Took this with a 13 and a 9 year old. It was a very good experience for them. The facilitator/guide was very good. Viator should give better instructions on how to get there from Central Station MTR since it isn't easy.
