Your driver will pick-up you at Saint-Malo (hotel, house, port...) and will drive you to Mont-Saint-Michel. You will have 4 hours on place to visit the village, the famous church (it's possible to buy audio guide for 3€) and very important: to take your time! During your visit, your driver stay on place. He can advise you a place for lunch. At the end of the visit, he will wait for you at the arrival of shuttle to drive you back to Saint-Malo. Mathieu was very friendly, had good communication, and engaged with us as much/as little as we wanted. It was a painless visit to Mont St Michel.
This was an amazing outing. Our driver Mathieu was very responsible and patient as it took time to tender ashore. Mont St Michel is a must visit and the crowds were not overwhelming. We had mixed weather from rain/fog in the beginning to beautiful sunshine and clear skies as we left. We prepurchased our tickets to the Abbey online so entry was very easy. Our driver was at there to meet us as we got off the return shuttle. I do need to remind the readers of this post that this is a car service not a tour quide service. You are on your own for 3-4 hours. We did not hear about the countryside along the way, though any questions were responded to. But we felt this was an available and good option to get us to this destination without needing to rely on an overpriced cruise tour.
