Take part in an unforgettable one day trip to Venice by ship from Piran. After arriving to the port San Basilio we will set off to discover the wonders of this unique city on the north-east side of the Adriatic coast. Itinerary
Bus transfer is organised from the coastal cities upon requestenter of Koper. On the selected travel date you will be greeted by a friendly crew in the port. During the sailing to Venice, the guides will give you an insight into the to history of this wonderful city and explain what is waiting for you upon arrival to the port. Once having entered the Venetian lagoon you will visit a completely different world to what you are used to. Canals are substitutes to roads, boats replace cars. Upon arrival to St. Marks square you will hear about all the buildings on St. Mark's square from the Ala Napoleonica to the bridge of sighs. Departure from Venice is at 17:00. After crossing the Adriatic, well arrive to the port of origin around 20:00 (weather permitting).

What a fun day trip and experience! The guides were very informative on the way to Venice. Note there are several add ons that I was not aware of (at least not communicated Viator). They will arrange a lunch (preset but includes a lot including drinks with or without alcohol), a gondola ride, and internal boat taxi from the port. And it’s cash only (€115 for all). I had the cash but some had to do IOUs and visit the ATM once in Venice. But the add ons are helpful because they save time so you have more free time to explore. Also, I would’ve loved to explore St Marks Basilica but its timed entrance and tickets need to be purchased in advance. If I had known 13:00 was open/free time, I would’ve loved have been better prepared, but I still enjoyed walking and shopping and exploring. Note that if you’re staying at Hotel Piran, no need to arrange for a pick up, the harbor is literally next door. Once I realized that, I canceled the pick up as I would’ve traveled further just to be brought back.
