Cuenca is a beautiful medieval town! Alberto has very helpful and very willing to make my experience a very nice one. He shared many anecdotes about his life as a Spanish native that were very interesting. Muchas gracias Alberto!
Jesus was my guide for the day and it couldn’t have turned out better: we inadvertently arrived on the day where the town celebrates San Mateo. So not only did we get to see the famous “hanging houses” and “skyscrapers” but the buzzing atmosphere to celebrate their saint created a memorable experience. It’s a perfect day trip from Madrid but I’ll definitely be back as there are 10 museums to visit!
The trip was very well organized. Meeting point in Madrid was easily accessible by metro. We visited two places: Enchanted City and medieval town of Cuenca. Both beautiful. The guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Pace of the tour was adequate for even the elderly. Cuenca is just unique and breathtaking. Highly recommend Cuenqueando.
