Finally, of course, as for any of our Secret Food Tour, enjoy our delicious Secret dish. Whether you’re a BBQ fanatic or new to Southern eats, this tour delivers delicious bites, cultural flair, and true Texas hospitality, no cowboy boots required! Our guides will lead you through the art-filled streets of Deep Ellum. As always, there's our Secret Dish, which will only be revealed on the tour!

The lively Deep Ellum entertainment district is known for its vibrant street murals, quirky art galleries and long-time concert venues for indie and blues. Brewpubs, cocktail bars and Tex-Mex eateries draw a boisterous crowd on weekends, while edgy, experimental drama dominates the program at the time-tested Undermain Theatre, in a warehouse basement.
In 1914, Henry Ford chose this area for his early automobile plant where the Model T was born, and has now become a music venue and event space located in the Deep Ellum district of downtown Dallas, Texas.

Haley was very personable and knowledgeable about Dallas. It was a great day. There is a fair amount of walking, but frequent stops to eat in air conditioned areas. Bring water. We loved the murals painted all over town and the history of many of the restaurants and city history. Everything we ate was delicious and authentic to Texas, which I loved supporting local family businesses. Haley was a delight. I would highly recommend Secret Food Tours and Haley from Dallas.

This walking tour is a MUST do to experience Texas food. Stephen made the experience quite memorable – he was animated, engaged and knowledgeable. First, we met at Pecan Lodge and had delicious "Cowboy style" BBQ brisket & pickles. Second, we went to Revolver taco lounge for a tasty fresh taco. Third was Angry Dog for chili with cheese, sour cream & Fritos. Fourth we walked towards the "Awakening statue" to talk about the symbol of Deep Ellum neighborhood & the Traveling Man. Tons of murals painted on buildings. Fifth we got to choose an old style soda from Rocket Fizz Candy store (100’s of flavors). Lastly, we went to and you could choose banana pudding or pecan pie BOTH were amazing!

Haley, She hosted a great food tour through Deep Elumm. Very attentive and helped to share her passion for the Blues through viewing all of the art murals. Walk was great pace, stops were air conditioned. Enough bathroom and water breaks.

The five tastings were delicious and offered a good variety of local flavors. Our guide was amazing, funny and shared so many local storied about the area's history culture and street arts. Well organized tour and the portion size were generous. A fun experience for food lovers.
