My sister and I took part in this trip as our final day of our Spain travels and we enjoyed it very much, overall. The value for the experiences included in a one day trip make it really worth it and we loved all of the stops along the way. We thought we definitely couldn't have done everything we did on our own in just one day. One thing I would advise anyone considering this excursion is that the trip is taken in a large van with three rows of seats - 3 seats in the back and middle rows along with 2 seats up front with the driver. Luckily, someone on our trip could not come but if they did, one of the pairs of 2 would've had to split up for quite a long bit of car travel. In addition, our tour guide talked throughout the drive providing interesting information about things. My sister and I were sitting in the middle row and could only hear bits and pieces of what he was saying at first, and eventually the people in the back began talking (I'm sure they couldn't hear the guide at all, so I don't blame them) and we could not hear him at all anymore. We weren't expecting an entire guided drive with facts and chatting but just something to note - the whole vehicle situation isn't exactly ideal. Our tour guide was a bit flighty, he missed multiple turns and drove around roundabouts several times repeatedly in our travel time. But he was a nice man and sufficient for the experience. We loved Costa Brava, Peratallada and the Dali museum was really interesting! Overall a lovely experience.
Thanks for the review, regarding the vehicle, to provide a more personal and semi-private experience, we operate with small 8- or 9-seat vans, which are the standard touring vehicles for small groups in Europe. As bookings arrive from different parties and group sizes, it is sometimes impossible to guarantee that every couple will sit together throughout the journey. When this situation occurs and multiple vehicles are used, we always ensure they travel together so that guests are only separated during the drive and can enjoy all stops and visits together. As for the commentary during the drive, our guides occasionally chat with nearby guests or provide additional context between destinations, but important information is always shared during the stops and walking portions of the tour, so no essential part of the experience is missed.
The tour was pleasant, especially due to the good disposition of the guide, who, in addition to being friendly, was an expert connoisseur
Muchas Gracias
The Dali museum is worth the trip from Barcelona! The other stops were also great. Guillome our tour guide was also very knowledgeable about EVERYTHING!
Fabrizio was wonderful. He had great energy, knowledge of the Costa Brava region as well as Salvatore Dali. He listened attentively to our requests and was great with our younger kids. We nightly recommend him for a tour of Barcelona and other areas outside the city center! His English and Spanish were amazing!
Incredible day with Guilio seeing the beauty of Spain outside Barcelona. Great chance to have a knowledgeable guide bring you to the beachside and to Dalí’s hometown and theatre/museum. Such a full experience. Loved it!
All the three villages we visited were amazing and the Dali museum was a plus to an already beautifull day!
I made reservation for this trip a few days ago ( for me and my family). It was confirmed, paid and tomorrow morning we supposed to go. The trip was cancelled today ( I noticed my mail in the evening). No explanation, no apology , nothing. It’s very upsetting.
We are sorry to read your review and we completely understand how disappointing a cancellation can be. However, we would like to clarify that we attempted to contact you several days prior to the tour through every phone number and email address provided in the booking, but unfortunately we did not receive any response. As we were unable to reach you and did not receive confirmation, we proceeded with the cancellation approximately 24 hours before the tour departure, ensuring that you received a full refund. We understand that you may have seen the cancellation email later in the evening, but we did our best to communicate in advance using all the contact details provided. Regards
How nice it is to get out of town to visit the costa brava, the medieval village in a small bus between us. Away from the tourist clusters we spent a wonderful day with Guillaume which was a mine of explanations and culture. The Dali Museum is amazing. This day was a small one in our stay.
Merci!
Guilio was great!! Super friendly and knowledgeable on all our stops. Had great suggestions for other places to visit and restaurants to check out.
Great trip out of the city to see a few highlights of the Catalan countryside with a small group of 5 people. Went to a beachfront resort with time for a morning coffee and a brief walk on the beach. Then on to a tour of a medieval village and a few quaint shops with NO pressure to purchase anything. Finally a visit to the interesting Dali Museum in Figueres with time for lunch on your own. Slightly over an hour is enough time to see the entire museum. Scenic ride up the coast on the way. Informative and personable guide. Highly recommended.
Thanks for the great Review!
