This network of over 200 km of tunnels became legendary during the 1960's when they played a vital part in the American War, allowing the Viet Cong to control a large rural area close to Ho Chi Minh City. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities.

Jerry was the best tour guide, we had a great day.
Our tour guide was Jerry. He was incredible!!! He had so much knowledge to share with us not only about the Cu Chi Tunnels, but about Vietnamese culture and general history. He is such a lovely person - kind, funny, and attentive to the needs of the group. After the tunnels he took us to a local place to have Banh Mi for lunch and it was delicious and hygienic! One of the best Banh Mi I had in Vietnam. Highly, highly recommended booking this tour with Intrepid and Jerry. Will definitely return to Vietnam with Intrepid in the future.
We had a great time with Jerry, our tour guide. He was so friendly and very informative about the tunnels and Vietnam’s history. We had the chance to experience the tunnels ourselves, although somewhat scary it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. We were apart of a small group. The transportation to and from the tunnels was superb. I would highly recommend and ask for Jerry!
