Ba Den Mountain, located in the northeast of Tay Ninh City, is a famous and iconic landmark in South Vietnam. Specifically, this gigantic mountain is situated within the cultural and historical relic complex of Ba Den, which is approximately 100 kilometers away from the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City. This mountain boasts an impressive altitude of 986 meters, making it the tallest peak in the entire South of Vietnam. This soaring height contributes to the allure of the site, attracting visitors from far and wide. The natural scenery surrounding Ba Den Mountain is simply enchanting, with awe-inspiring landscapes that captivate the hearts of all who venture there.
Cao Dai Holy See, founded in 1926, is 4km east of Tay Ninh in the village of Long Hoa. As well as the Great Temple, the complex houses administrative offices, residences for officials and adepts, and a hospital of traditional Vietnamese herbal medicine that attracts people from all over the south for its treatments. While Buddhism and Christianity are well-known in Vietnam, Caodaism remains relatively obscure. Caodaism is the youngest religion in the country, blending elements from various significant religions into its unique practices. Tay Ninh Holy See, also locally known as Cao Dai Temple, represents this fascinating belief system. Prayers are conducted four times daily in the Great Temple (suspended during Tet). It’s worth visiting during prayer sessions (the one at noon is most popular with tour groups from HCMC). Only a few hundred adherents, dressed in splendid garments, participate in weekday prayers, but during festivals several thousand may attend.
Leave the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City to explore one of the relics from one of the most significant local historical events in recent memory. Journey takes 2 hours west towards the Cambodian border. Ongoing way to the Cu Chi tunnels, we can see local life in the area, both past and present. Learn about their lives, culture, and customs and get an insight into the recent past through local eyes. The location of the tunnels was of significant strategic importance: they are at the end of the infamous Ho Chi Minh Trail, and within striking distance of the southern Vietnam capital. Initial construction started in 1948 when the Viet Minh required somewhere to hide from French air attacks, and by 1965, the tunnel complex was estimated to consist of 200 km of tunnels. It included, hospitals, schools, meeting rooms, kitchens, and sleeping quarters. Life was difficult for the inhabitants, and to protect against outside intruders, booby traps were laid throughout the complex.

Luk was great, he knew lots about each place and was more than willing to teach us and answer our questions. He was very happy and seemed excited to be with us. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see some amazing places with a great driver/guide.
Dear Quincy, Thank you so much for your heartwarming review! It was an absolute pleasure being your driver and guide for the day trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Duoc), Cao Dai Temple, and Black Virgin Mountain. I am truly glad that you enjoyed learning about the history and culture of each site. Sharing the stories of my country and answering my guests' questions is the most rewarding part of my job, and your enthusiasm made the day even more special for me. Thank you for highly recommending this tour. I wish you all the best and hope to see you again on your next trip to Vietnam! Warmest regards, Luc & Vietnam Tours VIP Team
Luc was a great driver, very knowledgeable, and willing to work with our schedule (which was sometimes faster and sometimes slower than planned)

We had a great day with Tuan visiting the three sites. Our favorite was Black mountain as there’s so much to see and explore. Unfortunately all the restaurants ran out of food by the time we arrived at 1pm and it was Sunday so be sure to get there earlier. Tuan was very helpful, wish there was more history he could have shared with us but he did a great job and was a very good driver.
Absolutely amazing day ! Great communication about the pick up and timing. Tuan our driver was great, knowledgeable and very pleasant. This has been our best day so far in Vietnam !

Had an amazing day with Luc. He was extremely knowledgable and we learnt a lot today. The Cu Chi Tunnels and Black Virgin Mountain were the highlights of the day. 10/10 recommend… bring your walking shoes and lots of water!
Dear Ranis, Thank you for such an amazing review! It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you. I am so glad that you enjoyed the history stories at Cu Chi Ben Duoc and the breathtaking views at Black Virgin Mountain. It is a long day with a lot of walking, so your advice to future travelers about 'walking shoes and plenty of water' is spot on! Thank you for the 10/10 rating. I hope to see you again on another adventure! Best Regards, Luc from Vietnam Tours VIP/ Local Travel Vietnam
Engaging, informative and entertaining throughout the whole day! Our driver Luc was a sweetheart and also very professional. The entrance fees to cu chi tunnels and the black virgin mountain was extremely affordable with our tight budget. Overall, an amazing way to end our trip to Vietnam.
Incredible experience. First, Luc was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable about Vietnamese history, culture, food, and so much more really enjoyed learning from him. Spent about 3-4 hours in the car with just me my gf and luc so it was a pleasant way to travel around and see the different areas outside of Ho Chi Minh. I have been to some really cool temples but black virgin mountain is probably #1 now awesome experience, and great food. We did the gun range and tunnels at night which made it feel more real. Very cool experience as two Americans who didn’t know much about Vietnam would recommend to anyone I see
Dear Mr. Cameron and Lex, Thank you so much for this wonderful review and for spending the day with me on the Cu Chi Tunnels Ben Duoc, Cao Dai Temple & Black Virgin Mountain tour. It was a real pleasure to have just you, your girlfriend and me together – I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed the stories about Vietnamese history, culture and food, as well as the quiet time driving through the countryside outside Ho Chi Minh City. I’m especially glad Black Virgin Mountain became your new “#1 temple experience” and that you liked the local food there. Doing the gun range and exploring the tunnels at night (late afternoon) is indeed a very special way to feel the atmosphere more realistically, and I’m honored that this experience meant a lot to you both as first-time visitors to Vietnam. We could switch to visit Cu Chi Tunnels in the day time instead as well. Thank you again for recommending the tour to others. I hope to welcome you back to Vietnam one day for more adventures together! Warm regards, Luc from Vietnam Tours VIP
