Both Cu Chi tunnels and Cao Dai temple are amazing places to visit and, as they are a bit far away from HCMC, it was very convenient to travel there in a car on guided tour. Our guide Cường was friendly and knowledgeable, he shared with us a lot of interesting information about Vietnam and its history. In just one day we managed to crawl in the tunnels, witness a beautiful caodaist ceremony, learn about a process of making lacquered paintings, see a lot of cute monkeys and eat a huge and delicious lunch in a local restaurant. While the ride was quite long, we had a few stops on the way for drinks and one in a handicrafts manufacture that employs handicapped people affected by dioxin poisoning. Strongly recommended!
