Great experience and a good way to visit and support local wineries. Plan your day accordingly to ensure you have plenty of time to visit most of the wineries and breweries along the stop. Also helpful to do some research beforehand, to know which ones suit your interest.

Kind regards, The Hop On Hop Off Wine Tours Marlborough Team
Had a great experience with this company. Buses were regular and drivers very pleasant and eager to help.
Fabulous day. All staff from check-in arrival to final drop off were very friendly and helpful. Commentry from the drivers between stops was informative and gave a great insight into the area. We picked 4 stops and was easily done to get back to ship on time. Buses ran on time and never full. A fabulous way to enjoy the area.
Busses run late so only plan 4 or 5 stops. The Aviation Museum is a must. Best I’ve ever seen. Also stop for the chocolates
The best organized HOHO we have ever taken and we have done many. Buses were constantly monitored so that no one was waiting for a bus. Extra buses followed scheduled buses to keep people moving and their communications system assisted that movement. Drivers were knowledgeable about each stop and had recommendations if you got off. All in all a very well run operation.
From start to finish was a great experience, pick and drop off always on time and made sure no one was left behind, Pete the driver was a great laugh, cracking jokes and making everyone enjoy themselves constantly. Big thank you to the tour and massive thank you to Pete for making it so memorable! Gio and Harry
Hi Gio, Thank you for your email. We are pleased to hear that you had a great day out with us. Warm regards, HOHO Team
We booked the tour today in Picton, they told us about a restricted/reduced schedule but DURING the day they changed the schedule again and without notice they let us wait „in the middle of nowhere“ for over 40 minutes (stormy weather). And there was no chance from 11:45 to 15:00 to go back to Picton. Afraid that we missed our cruiseboat. The tour is only a transfer (25 minutes drive from Picton) from one winery to the other ,the other stops (aviation museum, chocolate store…we do not need that in the wine area/ mountains) not realy interesting. Price to high and no guided information on the bus. Even the driver who drove us back to the boot recommended us, beter to book a private transportation. Visitors should check the internet in ADVANCED for an alternative. Without reservation you find only that non reliable company in Picton. Dear Frank and Willi, Thank you for your review. I’m sorry you felt disappointed, but several points in your statement are not accurate and need clarification. I am PY, the staff member who booked your tour when you came into the office. When you first arrived, I was assisting another group. You interrupted that conversation and attempted to take their map. I asked you to please give me a moment so I could finish and then explain everything clearly to you. You left and returned with your friend. We clearly explained that this is a hop-on hop-off service between venues in the Marlborough wine region. Departure was at 10:00 am, with a 3:00 pm return for all guests. No other guests were confused. I personally wrote on your map and circled the 3:00 pm return time from the last stop back to Picton. we informed you that we have one departure and one arrival. This interaction is all recorded on our camera. As one of you did not speak English, you translated the information yourself. After visiting Cloudy Bay, you insisted on being returned to Picton earlier than scheduled. The driver repeatedly asked what you would like to do, but you continued requesting early drop-off. Other guests and the driver contacted the office, saying the situation was affecting their day. One of the owners, Warren, personally collected you. After you complaining non stop, he explained that if you want a flexible private transfer like a taxi service, a private tour would be more expensive. At the end of the day, when we invited you to review the map with the clearly marked return time, you instead stated you had been left in a storm. The weather that day was beautiful, so we are confused by that comment. We regret that the tour did not meet your expectations, but the service was delivered exactly as explained at the beginning. Kind regards, PY
This group does the best they can to provide a good tour experience for cruise passengers. The wineries are too far away and there just isn’t enough time. You MUST book reservations at the wineries ahead of time. We did not and could not attend any tastings. If you have a full day here, then you could hit a few of them. But plan on only 2-3 successful stops. The drivers are great and treat you well. It is just a logistical issue. If they had satellite tasting rooms in Picton, this would solve many of the problems.
A winery tour, but too many non-wine stops. Our time in port was short, so I had to leave the tour before getting to the wineries I hoped to see.
The whole experience was inclusive and reliable. Lots of variety of venues to choose from, so mind you don’t run out of time . One thing to watch on the wine tasting was that some of the wineries demanded an appointment, so you could be left disappointed, as we were . However, others were most accommodating, and welcoming.
