Traveling alone sometimes means worrying about transportation and schedules, but this excursion removed all of that stress. The pickup instructions were easy to follow, and the support team had already answered my questions before the cruise arrived. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, making the city's history easy to understand. After the guided section I wandered through Bruges, visited several museums, and enjoyed lunch beside one of the canals. I still had plenty of time before meeting the group again. The return journey was comfortable, and we reached the ship well before departure.
This is NOT a small group tour. We were offered multiple times to choose from. We chose the 8:30 time slot. After waiting 1.5 hours at the meeting point, we messaged, emailed, and called and were told very rudely that the bus would come at 8:45. So there was only ONE tour. And the lady showed up about 9:00 !
We regret to hear about your disappointment. Please allow us to address the concerns raised: Although the tour description does not specifically mention a small group, by international tourism standards, a group of 20 participants is considered small. For comparison, you may check the group sizes offered on shore excursions organized by your cruise ship. You selected the 8:30 a.m. tour, and the bus arrived by 8:45 a.m. It therefore remains unclear why you mentioned waiting for 1.5 hours. Please note that the guide arrived on time, as we always allow up to 30 minutes for collecting cruise passengers. If you prefer not to wait briefly for fellow passengers who are still disembarking, we recommend booking a private tour rather than a shared one. Safe travels!
We had heard wonderful things about Bruges, but seeing it in person was even better. The excursion started smoothly with an easy pickup at the cruise terminal and a pleasant drive into the city. The coach was comfortable, and the guide explained the region's history in a way that both adults and children could enjoy. The guided portion covered the main highlights before we were given enough free time to discover smaller streets ourselves. We enjoyed local pastries, took family photos by the canals, and relaxed without constantly checking the clock. Returning to the port was just as organized as the morning. Everything felt safe, well planned, and enjoyable.
Sometimes the simplest excursions become the most memorable. Everything started with an organized pickup directly outside the cruise port and continued with a comfortable ride into Bruges. Along the way, our guide shared interesting facts without making the journey feel like a lecture. Once in the city we enjoyed strolling through quiet streets, crossing charming bridges, and stopping for Belgian chocolate. Having free time after the guided introduction allowed us to explore at our own pace, which we really appreciated. Returning to the ship was smooth and punctual. A pleasant experience from beginning to end.
A group of four friends booked this while our cruise stopped in Zeebrugge, and it turned out to be one of the easiest excursions of our trip. Meeting instructions were clear, boarding the coach was quick, and the ride into Bruges was relaxing thanks to the comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered everyone's questions with patience. After learning about the city's history, we had enough free time to shop, take photos, and sample local beer before heading back. Everything stayed on schedule, and we reached the port with plenty of time before departure. It was well organized without feeling overly commercial.
Our family of five joined this excursion directly from the cruise terminal and everything ran exactly as expected. The pickup was simple, the coach was comfortable with good air conditioning, and our guide spoke excellent English while sharing interesting stories during the drive. We never felt rushed and appreciated that the group stayed fairly small, making it easier to hear the guide and ask questions. Once we reached Bruges, we had a nice guided introduction before enjoying free time to wander on our own. The children loved the canals and chocolate shops while we stopped for lunch in the market square. It was reassuring knowing the schedule was planned around the ship, so there was no stress about getting back. A very enjoyable family day that balanced sightseeing and free time perfectly.
