Cruise Amsterdam like a Local — Small Group 12 pax

Description
We cruise in a small group in a relaxed, social setting —you step on board as a guest and leave feeling like a local. Sit back, enjoy, and take in the city at an easy pace. Instead of following a fixed route with standard commentary, we let the day and the group guide the experience. The captain is your host and guide in one, sharing stories and local insights that help you truly understand Amsterdam. All cruises are 90 minutes. Departures on the historic Jonckvrouw sail at 12:00, 2:00, 4:00, and 6:00 pm, with additional half‑hour departures on the iconic James Bond boat at 12:30, 2:30, 4:30, 6:30, and 8:30 pm. Both boats are fully electric, comfortable in all seasons, and equipped with sliding glass windows, a sunroof, an open aft deck, and a toilet on board (a rare luxury!). The freedom of an open boat, combined with the comfort of a warm, covered saloon. Book direct for the best experience —and come join us on the water. See you onboard, Captain Dave Amsterdam

Very informative and relaxing. Captain Dave was awesome. I highly recommend this canal cruise to anyone
We had a brilliant captain for our cruise! He was witty, knowledgable with a wealth of historical knowledge and local knowledge. We had great fun, the boat was beautiful and the canals are truly amazing. He was such a character, really enjoyed the craic!!! Many fun moments but steering like a master!! Wonderful city and memorable tour 🌷❤️🌷❤️
The cruise was an enjoyable, efficient way to become acquainted with the city’s geography, history, and culture.
Our boat trip with Ramon was a fantastic experience. He took great care of us shared information about the city we would highly recommend.
If you are lucky enough to get Captain Dave, you will have the time of your life. Our family group of six climbed aboard, and proceeded to not know where we were, despite having been in Amsterdam for a week. The tour through the familiar canals suddenly opened up to a history lesson (including personal history) that gave us a perspective we never would have known. Get the last ride of the night, on the James Bond. Thank me later.
A 10/10 day on the Amsterdam canals! Huge shoutout to Captain Jan Meenhorst on the Captain Dave Amsterdam "Cruise Like a Local" tour! This wasn't your average tourist cruise. With only 12 people on board, an open bar, and zero scripts, it felt exactly like a local friend was showing us around his favorite hidden spots in the city. Jan kept us laughing the entire time with great stories and funny anecdotes. If you're heading to Amsterdam, do yourself a favor and book this exact trip!
Boat had an interesting history. It was quite comfortable. The captain/guide was informative. Drinks were available at the start and during the tour. Cabin had windows that permitted air circulation and ability to take clear photographs. The guide/captain identified some key historical sights during the tour.
Intimate, small boat experience. Captain Dave was a great tour guide. Grew up in the city and knows the city!
We had captain Dave himself. He was a delightful mix of providing information about Amsterdam, being funny, and being engaging just talking about his life and his family’s life. He was warm, entertaining, and personable. He clearly enjoys giving tours and talking with people. He also provided information in a natural way and was interested to make the experience unique. The cruise itself was relaxing and fun. The small group environment was great too. He provided snacks. He answered all our questions and engaged us on a wide variety of topics. The boat was comfortable with interesting history. Our group with three adults and two teens had a wonderful time! It was comfortable with the windows down. When it started to drizzle and we closed the windows up it remained comfortable. We highly recommend.
Giselle was an absolutely fabulous guide!! We had a wonderful time and would totally book again if in Amsterdam.
