It was a little difficult to find the studio but once there, it was fun experience. I highly recommend this class.
She takes the time to teach you and answers questions respectfully. She was very friendly to talk to!
Out of all the activities my partner and I did on our trip, this one felt the most personable and fun! Truthfully I wasn’t the best at handwriting Kanji 😅 but our instructor didn’t belittle us for it. She even gave us snacks and her own additional handmade art work as presents! If you have time in your itinerary, definitely try to fit this in!
We had a wonderful experience with Koko and enjoyed chatting, sharing our life’s experiences and learning more about calligraphy, Kanji and her teaching and tutoring work. Thank you for the care and generosity shown to us.

the map location on tripadvisior was wrong and then the guy told us it was all our fault. When its tripadvisior and there dodgy maps.
I'm very sorry that you were unable to use the map on the page that was the same for everyone since we opened. I have asked you to reschedule the class but you refused absolutely... It was not a right behavior when we were trying to satisfy you.
A great way to spend an hour learning and creating a piece using Japanese calligraphy. Our host was charming, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend this experience to everyone. The location is also excellent.
Wonderful experience. It was amazing and filled with happiness and it’s perfect for kids. The hostess is amazing, nice and friendly.
Yoko was very nice and accommodating. It was a pleasure to learn more about her. I wish that there had been more of a focus on instruction...I was hoping to learn a little about technique, but it was actually just a tracing activity.
Hello Heather, to me was good to have you here, and i am sorry that it wasn't what you might expected. This is a fun activity of writing the Japanese Kanji on a t-shirt or a lantern, it is not a calligraphy lesson in particular, which supposedly to teach you the Japanese characters. This a fun activity for 1 hour. Anyway i was glad to show you a bit of a larger, much larger work, of a Japanese art.
We enjoyed our time with the calligraphy teacher, who was very patient and accommodating of our group. We had plenty of options for writing Japanese characters (including a custom request) and had clear instructions in English on the steps we were to take. Everyone in our group had a great time and walked away with a little personalized piece of Japan!
