The guide was very nice with good explanation. He knows his subject. But do not expect a new bus with AC!
The guy was great. He explained things and talked to us. He was wonderful would have him do it again. Never smith was my tour guide and he was great.
Worth it for of the beaten path and gorgeous property
Had a great time seeing some of Freeport with our tour guide, Nevar Smith. He was friendly, a good driver, very knowledgeable, patient and even stopped at an atm for us to make a $ withdrawal.
We had an awesome experience on this tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable, accommodating and super friendly. We had a great time, he even gave us more time to explore the Lucaya Market since we wanted to find the right souvenirs. Would definitely recommend this tour as it's a great way to learn some Bohemian history and tour the island. We also got a chance to explore some of the upper class neighbourhoods. Great experience!
I have a couple of good things to say about this trip. We did experience some complications at the beginning, which I won’t go into detail about. However, once things got going, the information provided throughout the ride was excellent and very informative. At the castle, we were the only people there, which was a huge advantage. Having a later booking worked in our favor since there were no other tourists, making the experience much more enjoyable and peaceful. The stop at the market is relatively short, but if you’d like to stay longer, you do have the option to remain there and take a taxi back on your own. Overall, I would recommend this trip, especially if you are interested in history. It’s definitely worth it, particularly with Viator / Clear View Tour.
A solid "5." We were the only ones on the Sunday afternoon tour, as that's a slow day for this tour, with most of the market shops being closed. We received outstanding one-on-one attention from our guide. The castle and grounds are beautiful, while being a bit rustic. I would recommend this activity for anyone who's looking for beauty with a good dose of local island history too.
My sister and I were the only ones on the tour. Mr. Smith greeted us at our resort. The mini van was spacious and comfortable. Nebar told us about the history of the area and how area was rebuilt after Hurricane Francis. Coopers castle was gorgeous. We got to go up some steps to see the spectacular views. The Cooper family rags to riches story was interesting to learn about considering he was a local Bahamian. Hopefully tourists may get a tour inside the castle as well someday. I really like the drive along the public beach and see The local Bahamian restaurants and bars. The Lucayan souvenir market was also nice. One hour was enough for some shopping and a cool drink! Great tour! Hope another tour operator like Nexus tours picks up this tour as well!
Nevar was an excellent tour guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable of the area. His bus very clean too. The castle was beautiful and we loved hearing about the Cooper family. The grounds were great too. The fish fry area was a must stop. We opted out of the shopping area but got some free time at Taino Beach inside. This was an excellent different tour
