Itinerary
Prior to sailing time we will board at Campbell’s Cove, The Rocks or Ives Steps Wharf
Discover Sydney’s colorful convict history with Sydney Harbour Tall Ships and take in the sites of Sydney Harbour aboard a traditional vessel. Travel to Goat Island, where you'll learn about Australia's convict history on a guided walking tour before returning to the vessel for lunch and a 1.5 hour cruise on Sydney Harbour.
Experience a Historic Tour of Goat Island and see the sights where the first convicts lived in the past. Goat Island, which has restricted, limited access, is the largest of the islands in Sydney Harbour. Over the years, Goat Island has served as a quarry, convict stockade, explosives store, police station and fire station. Today the island forms part of the Sydney Harbour National Park. On a 1-mile (1.5-km) guided walking tour, learn about Goat Island’s colorful past and visit some of Australia's most important and intact convict-built structures. Take in the historic surroundings, and visit the early-1800s military gun-powder magazine, the soldiers’ barracks complex and Sydney’s oldest water police station. You’ll learn what convict life was like on Goat Island, from their punishments to their cramped sleeping quarters and food.
After your guided walking tour receive a complimentary drink before re-boarding the ferry. Then it’s time to relax and enjoy a cold buffet feast with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine! As you eat, enjoy the surrounding views of Sydney Harbour before returning back to Campbell's Cove.

Incredible experience! Great tour of the island, wonderful tour around the harbour aboard the tall ship "Southern Swan", and yummy food. All and all, a fantastic tour!
Thank you for joining us and sharing your tall ship experience!
The tour was a great experience. Rain did not dampen the day, we highly recommend doing this tour. Staff were great, and the history was really interesting.
Thank you for joining us on the cruise even in wet weather! We are happy to hear you still enjoyed the cruise :)
The pick-up point for this trip changed multiple times despite the original being still advertised.the notification was inadequate leaving insufficient time to negotiate. Despite arising 3/4 hr before the start time I missed the tour completely. It was impossible to contact the trip organisers & trip advisor to ask for a substitute booking. All info. Was “no reply”. The company refuses refunds, does not allow cancellations or revised bookings .completely disgusted with whole experience ruined my day & lost me a lot of money I cannot afford to lose.
We apologize for the difficulties and frustrations you experienced regarding your recent booking with us. I completely understand how upsetting it must have been to miss your tour, especially after all the confusion. We take your concerns very seriously, and I deeply regret that the information you received was inadequate, and that you had difficulty contacting us for assistance. Thank you.
Well planned and a great way to visit. It was unfortunate that most of the buildings were out of bounds. The guide was excellent as was the Tall Ship, crew and food.
Thank you for sharing your tall ship experience!
Such a knowledgeable tour guide and enthusiastic and friendly crew! It was a treat to have views of the Bridge and Opera House from a different perspective but the history and stories of the island made it special for me. Lunch was lovely as well!
Thanks for joining us on our tall ship cruise!
A very relaxing and enjoyable trip. The guided walk on Goat island was very interesting. Our guide was very pleasant and informative. Great cruising the harbour with lunch and champagne. Would probably of liked a bit less time on the island and a bit longer on the ship. Overall great day out 😎

We did the Convicts, Castles & Champagne Tour with Sydney Harbour Tallships; and, the experience was fantastic. Our satisfaction was made possible due the professionalism and promptness of the crew. We left on time; the crew was COVID conscious; the Goat Island tour was informative; we were fed well; the staff are all friendly & helpful; and overall, a great way to see & enjoy the Sydney Harbour. Highly recommended.
