Description
The Colorado River is our favorite family-friendly rafting trip. This section of the Colorado River offers scenic views including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands and steep canyon walls with wildlife including bald eagles, deer, beavers, and big horn sheep - always something to see. Upper Colorado River Rafting provides mild Class I-II rapids and occasional Class III rapids at higher spring water flows. Beginning as snowmelt high in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Rockies give birth to the legendary Colorado River. Downstream of the Park, the river intensifies through the famed Class 5 “Gore Canyon”, but below, the river gentles where our Colorado River Rafting trips begin. An introduction to white water rafting for families with children and grandparents, any group looking for a scenic Colorado adventure will enjoy this raft trip. We are proudly a smaller operation offering intimate Colorado adventures. Our raft guides are highly trained, experienced, and State certified.

Great experience. Tanner was our guide and he was super, knowledgeable and funny! The Upper Colorado River was tame, but Tanner made it more exciting by spinning us around and going down the rapid backwards. Highly recommend!

Our experience with Colorado Adventure Guides for our rafting trip on the upper Colorado River was amazing! Both the guides and the folks in the office were so helpful and friendly. We had made a reservation error on the date of the rafting trip, and the office really went above and beyond to reschedule us for the following day. The rafting trip on the upper Colorado River was fun, exciting, and really fantastic. Our rafting guide Tanner was friendly, informative, funny, professional, and truly made the rafting trip for our family, which included two adults, a teen and a 10-year-old, an unforgettable experience. We 100% will recommend Colorado Adventure Guides to our friends and family. And the next time we are in the area we will definitely sign up for their experiences again!

This was our first family river trip and could not be more pleased with the trip. Tanner was our guide and he was highly skilled. Once on river we saw several groups struggling with wind. Not these guys, they kept us on coarse allowing time to just get ahead so we could relax and take in scenery. Really enjoyed his knowledge of the river. My next trip will be with Colorado Adventure Guides

We really enjoyed having Jake as our guide. He pointed out a pair of bald eagles and their eaglets. He also knew a lot of the history and ecology of the area. It was a beautiful and informative rafting trip!
