If you want to know about the more recent history of Sri Lanka as well as some economic and political background while wandering through some of the Colombo sites (independence square, the convention centre, world trade centre etc) then give this tour a go. You’ll see the sights as well as learn something. Chami is very well informed.

This is an excellent walking tour. Chami is extremely knowledgeable, efficient and a good communicator. Highly recommended for a different tour to the regular walking or tuk tuk tours in Colombo.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the social and political context of Sri Lanka! Chami is very knowledgeable and passionate about Sri Lanka's past, present and future.
