Experience that was made memorable by our immense guide / human, Adam: animal lover, engineer, ballet dancer, multilingual fellow, doctor, and my fellow Ontarian. Hard to miss with his tall and muscular stature. Friendly in greeting the whole group. He was knowledgeable, passionate and compassionate in the way he presented these pieces of art. In addition he had great sense of humour, elevating with pop culture references. He made this experience quite personable for even non-private group. Have Adam as your guide and the money will be worth it, your time respected, and it goes towards his rent and the care of his animals. The tour started ten minutes late and finished twenty minutes early, and they were unwilling to refund any portion. There were long silences where nothing was said at several points, we were constantly being quizzed on things we were told (around 15 times, and it stopped being fun after the first time), there was nothing engaging, no one looked impressed. For the amount I paid for this I feel cheated by the experience - it was also incredibly uninteresting. The tour guide seemed like a nice person but she clearly didn’t want to be there.
Violette was incredible. She is an extraordinary storyteller with factual knowledge/ context/ perspective that afforded all of us a deeper experience. At the conclusion you feel like you’ve made a new very smart friend.
