A 3-4 hour walk around...

A 3-4 hour walk around central CC with emphasis on its modern and old buildings. A lot of emphasis on the effect of the earthquake and the rebuilding of the city. A good way to get to know the center of town I only gave 4 stars because what is missing is history of the city before the earthquake: who settled here and why, the interaction between Maori and the settlers, how the city developed. I realize that the earthquake was perhaps the most significant event in the city's history but I'm sure there is more to tell us

A good to orientate yourself

A thorough overview of the highlights of Christchurch. I found this tour a good way to get to know the city at my own pace. For these reasons I would recommend this tour.
