most horrble travel experience with viatgor

it was most horrible experience for 4 of us. VIATOR never turned up to pick us in cancun. Shame on Viator.

Operator response

The pick-up was attempted on time. Unfortunately, the service resulted in a no-show due to the incorrect lobby information provided on your reservation. We are sorry that this situation has caused inconvenience; however, the incident was not attributable to our operations, as our team followed the instructions indicated in your booking. We remain at your disposal for any clarification you may need.

Great trip from Cancun to Chichén Itzá

Prepare to spend all day (12+ hrs) with new friends. Julio & Baruk were our tour guides and it was a blast. They have vast knowledge on the topic and a sense of humor to go with it. Location, gastronomy and local people (Mayans), will take you on a trip back in time. You won’t regret it.

Chichen Itza is the highlight

The pick up and arrangements were messy. There wasn't clear explanation. If you are staying at the airport hotels make sure to check with them that they would come pick up at the hotel. I stayed at the Hilton Airport Hotel, although this was indicated upon booking less than 24 hours on my flight to Cancun, I recieved a message saying that pick up was at a different hotel. In this case I had to pay taxi fee to get there (and back) and then a tour van came to pick us up then made its round to pick up others. Then we were dropped off at another spot and passengers were exchanged. English speaking guests were confused, we didnt know what was happening. Once we met our guide things seemed to make sense. Ivan our guide was good. He explained things well. The guide at Chichen Itza was great. Cenote was ok not the best one (been on another tour with a better cenote). We weren't informed that the Valladolid tour was cancelled until the end of the day when we were supposed to go there. The company did not inform us in advance and our guide was under the impression we knew (what a disappointment). The only highlight was Chichen Itza. Myself including other tourists in the group were not impressed. The company needs to be more clear when it comes to foreign tourists. We invest the time and money to come to not have clear information.
