Nice downtown walking tour! A couple places were no longer accessible (McGlohon Theatre under renovation, hanging tree stump may be gone now plus it's on fenced in private property). Still a worthwhile tour if you have an hour to kill, especially if you stop in at Alexander Michael's at the end!
It was entertaining and a bit cheesy. Bt enjoyable and allowed you to wander around the city and learn a few bits of history.
Don’t cross the street unless it tells you too. Some of the locations are discussed before it shows you the picture. Several pictures are out of date and some places don’t have signs to help you. It was a very interesting historical tour and I would do it again. It’s just a little tricky to follow some of the instructions.
Just leave it playing, and you can casually walk to each point of interest. We had a great time learning more about Charlotte.
We were scheduled to take the walking tour and so excited to walk to each site and listen to the history. Unfortunately a family member had an accident the day before the tour and wound up going to an urgent care facility. We were unable to take the tour, but the host was so understanding and graciously refunded our cost for the tickets. I couldn’t ask for a nicer customer service. I hope to have another opportunity to visit and take this tour.
Never received email confirmation. Couldn’t log in to tour. Would not recommend. Went ahead and walked the route so at least we got some exercise.
I'm really sorry to hear this. The ticket instructions are in Viator under the Ticket button and "How to take the tour". Also you can write me anytime at info@walkntorus.com or text me at 617-991-3269 and I'm happy to send a copy of the ticket. I"m really sorry this did not work out. I'm here to help in any way I can :).
Was fun and informative. And got all of our steps in for sure. Suggest only using one phone for the app to cut down on the confusion
We enjoyed the guide and learning about the history of the city that isn’t well known. Unfortunately because of all of the construction in the city we had a difficult time finding some of the locations, but it was overall enjoyable.
Hi Julie, Thank you for using WalknTours! Construction can be unpredictable, but the addresses are where the spirits haunt :). Please do check out our other tours, now in nearly 100 cities! Thank you for using the WalknTours app :)
There were 4 of us. We walked on a beautiful sunny day. We enjoyed the narrator, his stories and the “scary” music. Very well done. I highly recommend this haunted walk.
I love old cemeteries. Fun/ sad fact that some corpses were dug up. Lunch at Alexander Michael’s. Directions were good and we enjoyed the spooky voice, and crow sounds.
