Chanson and Musical Tour in Paris

Description
The uniqueness of this tour is that you pass the places (houses) that are deeply linked with the persons and the songs that have touched your heart during your life. That makes this tour so special! From his childhood the guide has been passionate about pop music, including the French music from the 20th century. He knows the stories of Yves Montand, Serge Gainsbourg, Juliette Gréco, Aznavour and Piaf. And also other legends if there are requests to talk about. The guide will play the songs he is talking about while he's walking with you through the street of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. That makes this tour even more lively. Your personal guide will tell you his stories in English (and Dutch).

We really enjoyed this special Chansons tour in Paris! Our guide François – a charming Flemish who has lived in Paris for years – beautifully intertwined the story of the city with the lives of icons such as Yves Montand, Juliette Gréco, Serge Gainsbourg and Charles Aznavour. We walked through an atmospheric part of Paris and heard historical insights as well as moving music fragments and anecdotes. The highlight was the piece about Serge Gainsbourg, where we even passed his house. François brings everything with a lot of warmth, humor and knowledge. An absolute must for anyone who loves Paris and chansons!
Hello Deli, thank you for this nice review. Hope to see you again!
Great tour with Domenique - some very interesting sights of famous French singers and lots of French music on the way. Thoroughly enjoyable
Thank you, Karen. That's very kind to give positive feedback. It was a pleasure walking with you in Paris. Always welcome again. Dominique
The Tour was cancelled because no guide was available. I had already paid, 35 euros and I did NOT get my money back! Despite my request to do so.

I not only appreciated the historical context that underpinned this musical tour, I enjoyed immensely the chance to explore the charming streets of the St Germain neighborhoods that were off the tourist path. My guide, Dominique allowed me plenty of time to enjoy the experience. And nothing added more to the experience, than the musical interludes that Dominique added to the experience, that had me humming in the street and ready to break into dance.
Thank you Izabel
