Beautiful, educational and tasty tour of the region. Nice casual atmosphere, nice guide and delicious champagne!
Our tour consisted of 7 guests plus our guide+driver, Radames. Our van was modern and clean. We were amazed at Radames' knowledge. He explained the geology of Champage, the history of the drink, and details about each place we visited. Those places were a combination of Champagne houses, famous buildings, and historic villages. Radames organized three Champagne house visits, including cellar tours. We went from a small, to a medium, to a medium-large producer to get a feel at each size. He had commentary at all places. He's apparently quite trusted -- he sometimes let us in and performed the tastings. Lunch was provided at a small cafe, and was quite good. Radames gave clear and detailed descriptions, since his is from the USA. Overall, well-organized and impeccably conducted. Definitely a tour and guide I would recommend.

This was the most enjoyable tour we've been on Radames was a pleasure to spend the day with. He took us to real authentic champagne houses family owned and operated. His knowledge and delivery was very much appreciated. We definitely recommend this company for the real authentic champagne tour 1000 fois merci Radames ! Gilles and Christiane

This day trip was our favorite day of our trip! We visited the larger Champagne houses on our own, so we were really glad that we chose this tour to visit multiple smaller, family-owned local growers. We had the best experiences learning about the houses, the Champagne process and the families behind it all. Our tour guide was amazing, sharing a lot of information and stories of the region. At one of the Champagne houses, we were given the opportunity to 'saber' a Champagne bottle (open it with a saber/sword) - it was such a unique experience that we will be telling our friends and families about our whole lives!
Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that this was the highlight of your trip and that you enjoyed discovering the smaller family-owned Champagne houses. Sharing the history, traditions, and people behind Champagne is exactly what we aim to offer. We’re especially glad that you had the chance to try sabering a Champagne bottle. It is indeed a unique and memorable experience! Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back to Champagne someday. Best regards, The France Intense Team
Great tour ! Alvaro was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and witty. The three champagne houses were wonderful, lunch was great. Relaxing and not rushed.

Radames was AMAZING!!! Very knowledgeable about the Champagne region and how Champagne is produced. I learned a lot from him. Towards the end of our first tasting, I could feel the beginnings of my sugar dropping. When we got to our lunch spot, he was very quick to make sure that I got the Coke I ordered to help raise my sugar. He was a wonderful translator between us and the growers (and lunch spot) we visited. He was also very prompt with keeping us on schedule. I hope upon my next return to France that I will be able to take a different tour with him. 100/10 would recommend.

Very personal and well thought out tour with a good guide who told us at length and vividly about the various champagne manufacturers.

Vi hoppas få nöjet att välkomna er igen för en ny upplevelse. Med vänliga hälsningar, France Intense Team
We had a great day! We now know so much more about the science and culture of champagne making which has added to our appreciation of this wonderful tradition. Our guide, Rod, was a fountain of knowledge and looked after us superbly. Highly recommend.
Dear Rhonda, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you had such a great day and that the experience deepened your understanding and appreciation of Champagne, both from a cultural and scientific perspective. Rod will be especially pleased to read your kind words — we’re glad he took such good care of you and made the day memorable. Thank you again for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again soon for another experience in France. Best regards, The France Intense Team
The tour guide, Rod, kept saying we needed to be in a hurry and often was rushing us to move on. He also spent too much time letting us know how much he knew about champagne and took us to see too many vats. That said, the tastings themselves and the champagne houses we went to were very nice. We wanted to order Champagne at the first house, however, he was in too much of a hurry and made us leave. The lunch was supposed to be "gourmet", however, while it was ok, it was not gourmet.
Dear Guests, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tastings and the Champagne houses visited during the day. Our tours are designed to include three visits and tastings, which require a well-paced schedule to ensure guests can fully experience each stop. Regarding lunch, it includes a main course as indicated in the tour description. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration as we continue to improve the overall experience. Kind regards, The France Intense team
The tour was incredibly educational and provided a deep dive into the region's history, though it did feel a bit long at points. Our guide was very knowledgeable, if a bit long-winded, which led to some repetitive segments throughout the day. For instance, we visited the cellars of several different wineries, but received nearly the identical technical explanation at each stop. While the information was interesting the first time, we would have much preferred spending that extra time interacting with the locals, tasting the wines, and just hanging out to soak in the atmosphere. If you want an educational tour of the mechanics and history, this is for you. If you’re looking for something more social, i’d book something less.
Dear Guests, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found the tour educational and appreciated the historical insights into the Champagne region. We also appreciate your comments regarding the pacing and content, as they help us continue refining the experience to better balance learning, tastings, and time to enjoy the atmosphere. Kind regards, The France Intense team
