We are infinitely grateful the tour it is definitely a good value for the money, we saw a sky full of stars an amazing journey through the manglar to end swimming in the lake of Chacacua full of plankton bioluminescence that shine when you move, also we we were really lucky because of our guide Mario besides being really attentive and kind, is a really cult, well prepared and educated person who explain us a lot of interesting topics about the region, the nature, and the conservation by efforts of the projects and communities that work in the region, I am deeply grateful since today I learn so much. It is remarkable that the company operates with such a ethic, sense of community, respect and appreciate for nature. I wish you keep operating with the same values ! Thank you so much
Mauri was a fantastic guide! He took us on an unforgettable tour through the mangroves and to Isla Chacahua, and his enthusiasm and knowledge made the whole experience truly special. He was incredibly well-informed about the local flora, fauna, and the Afro-Mexican community on the island, and genuinely passionate about sharing it all. One of our group had an injury and couldn’t get his foot wet, and Mauri went out of his way to make sure he could still participate: literally carrying him from the boat to the shore without a second thought. That kind of care really set him apart. The highlight of the evening was swimming with bioluminescent plankton in the dark, an experience none of us will forget. Mauri made us feel safe while keeping the magic of the moment intact. He also spontaneously introduced us to tepache along the way, which turned out to be one of our favorite discoveries of the whole trip. If you’re looking for a guide who is knowledgeable, warm, and goes above and beyond, book Mauri
Absolutely the best spent money on the trip! Great way to spend the afternoon. Our guide Maury was awesome. Loved swimming in the glowing water! Our group size this time off year was tiny, only 3 of us plus our guide. Made for a great and personal experience.
Fantastic tour. Very nice boat ride through the lagoon and then an absolutely breathtaking swim in the bioluminescence (no words and especially no pictures do justice). Highly recommend! Quite far from Puerto Escandido though... But worth it!
Great way to spend an evening. Got to see the most amazing bioluminescence and swim in it!Our guide Maury was amazing! I absolutely recommend. Good value for money too.
Unreal experience - and Maury was an incredible guide. So knowledgeable and kind
Maury was a wonderful guide, very informative. Such a magical experience on the boat sailing through the mangroves during dusk and sunset. Swimming in the bioluminescence beneath the stars in the warm waters was breathtaking. Capped off with a magical boat ride back. I'd highly recommend this trip to anyone.
The lagoon wing tour to see the bioluminescence was spectacular, I touched a high concentration of luminescence and an excellent climate, the tour was very professional and just as I was told it would be, from the explanation of services and logistics by Nataly and the transfer as well as detailed explanation of the culture during the tour by Mario were very professional. I highly recommend it.
The overall experience was great! Tour kicked off at 3pm and we were back at around 10pm in Puerto Escondido. The shuttle was comfortable, and our guide Mario was great! He shared knowledge about the area as we drove down to Chacahua, and once in Chacahua he explained all about the mangroves, the biodiversity, and the locals living there. We had some time to relax down by the coast and grab a bite to eat before heading back for the bioluminescence. Swimming at night with the bioluminescence was definitely a top experience!!!
A great experience, from when they pass you at the hotel to when you are in the lagoon. Mario an excellent guide, with a lot of knowledge and great love for his work. I highly recommend it.
