Laura was a fabulous host. Welcoming and friendly. Taught the class very well and we learnt so much - not just cooking but also the local cultures
Amazing experience cooking pasta & tiramisu with a local. It was amazing to hear the stories of where these recipes come from. The food was amazing and we can’t wait to bring these recipes home to make for family and friends.
Laura was incredibly welcoming to both me and my children. We loved learning how to make fresh pasta and enjoyed the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Sharing our meal on her lovely outdoor patio made the experience even more special. This was a truly wonderful memory to create with my kids.
This was a highlight of the trip. Such a fun and unique experience with a great host who was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!
this is an authentic Italian experience. You arrive at an Italian home with a pleasant host who welcomes you. You cook Italian food, with traditions from the area you are in. My family and I loved it.
The cooking class was great we cooked simple delicious recipes that can be copied well without much effort at home. The gas lifter was very warm and took her time and spoke English really well. Concerned is that the cooking class took place in a place outside Bergamo and could only be reached by taxi.
I’m sure it’s a great experience, but my friend and I did not make it to the venue because there are two places in Bergamo with the same address and our taxi driver took us to the wrong one, 20 minutes away. Be willing to lose all your money if anything goes wrong that day. I write here because the provider, although she offered to wait, would not refund even a portion of the cost when my older friend who is just recovering from chemotherapy had to back out after tiring herself walking many blocks from the wrong address to another taxi. It seems less than kind to not even offer a partial compensation with a small refund or a partial discount to book for the next night (Viator listed the class as available the next night despite the vendor claiming it was booked.)
Dear Madam, thank you for your email. It is always important to listen to our customers. We are very sorry to read these lines since we always try to do our best in order to provide the greatest experience possible for our guests. We are sorry the taxi driver took you to the wrong address. In the voucher we send you, there is a link to Google Maps - that is the precise location. We hope the rest of your holidays went well and we wish you beautiful days ahead! Best regards,
An authentic, fun & memorable experience! Hospitality was immeasurable! We left with recipes and friends for life! I highly recommend everyone to take her cooking course. Immediately you can taste the homemade difference in the food. She had appetizers and refreshments available for us while we were waiting for our pasta and tiramisu to cook. I am not a coffee drinker and that was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for opening your home to us, we truly enjoyed ourselves with you.
We were at Cristina's and her family's home, who welcomed us warmly and even in German, which we did not expect at all.. At our request, she showed us how to prepare the Bergamoisque speciality Scarpinocc and Tagiatelle and then Tiramisù (due to hygiene with pasteurized eggs). Afterwards we were allowed to make ourselves comfortable on the terrace with an aperitif and small snacks she had prepared. Afterwards we were allowed to enjoy our pasta and finish with the tiramisù. It tasted great to us and she gave us many tips on where to eat and what else there is to discover in the area. All in all a great evening with interesting conversations and cooking and eating like friends. Such an evening is always recommended for all foodies in the world.
I cannot say enough nice things about this experience. I was lucky enough to be welcomed into the home of Alessandro and, in addition to a hands on learning experience, we had great conversation - I also had the pleasure of meeting his two sons who are delightful! As a solo traveler, being welcomed into the home of someone who has lived in Bergamo for many decades, this experience was incredibly meaningful.
