Itinerary
Göreme Panorama, one of the famous landscapes of Cappadocia, offers a particularly impressive view, especially during sunset. From this point, you can observe ancient churches and settlements nestled in the middle of fairy chimneys.
The Virgin Mary Church in Nevşehir is an important place of worship dating back to the early Christian period. With its rock-cut architecture and simple interior details, the church offers visitors a valuable insight into the religious and cultural history of Cappadocia.
After approximately 45 minutes of travel, you will arrive at the Underground City. Initially used as a natural freezer by the locals, it later served as a shelter against Arab invasions by the late Romans. With your guide’s narrations, you’ll spend about 1 hour exploring this underground city.
Ihlara Valley is located 52 km away and can be reached in approximately 45 minutes after visiting the Underground City. Formed as a result of volcanic activities of Mount Hasan, the valley features a canyon 80 meters deep, shaped over millions of years by the erosive force of the Melendiz River. Although it is generally associated with long hikes, the panoramic section visited in this program involves a shorter walk — not the entire 3.5 km trail — making it more accessible for visitors.
Belisırma village, located south of Ihlara Valley, hosts one of the famous restaurants in the region. Having lunch here provides an excellent opportunity to taste local flavors and relax amidst beautiful scenery.
A hidden gem of nature, Nar Lake offers thermal waters and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy a peaceful escape and capture stunning photos!
Cappadocia is rich in various natural stones, and onyx is one of them, widely used in the production of jewelry and souvenirs. Sadam was our guide . He really explained well and knew history.weather was very hot I would recommend tour organizer to keep cold water all the time . They did provided water upon asking . Underground city was the best of this tour.
We travelled across the city and got great historical knowledge from our tour guide Adam, he showed the city very well and had a great itinerary of activities ranging from cave exploration, to lunch, to church and site seeing activities. Would definitely recommend if you are traveling here.
We had an amazing time on the Green Tour in Cappadocia! Fatih was an excellent guide with incredible knowledge of the region’s history and culture. His witty, sarcastic humor kept the group entertained throughout the day. Osman was a professional, safe, and friendly driver who made the trip comfortable from start to finish. Our driver 'Captan' and guide Adam were very friendly, capable and efficient. Adam has excellent English and was available for everybody across the day. The bus was a new Mercedes Sprinter that was very clean and comfortable and created a good group size (12 people on our tour). We enjoyed the day thanks to a good guide and good people but some parts of the tour were disappointing. We booked the tour to see Ihlara Valley but the time here was very short and you have to pay extra to go on the elevated viewing platform. This tour goes to the larger and more impressive underground city (Derinkuyu) which was good but we had no free time there and it was impossible to hear the guide in the tunnels (very noisy, echoing area). Lunch was tasty and filling but we were told when we booked that it was at Ihlara Valley and so we were very disappointed that it was not. We had too much time at the sales centres (jewellery and Turkish delight centres) and not enough time at the things we wanted to see (Ihlara Valley, Nar Lake, Pigeon Valley, Derinkuyu underground city). The church visit could easily have been skipped for more time at the other sites also. Tour pros: - great guide and driver - visited the main areas we wanted to see - good size group, not too big - pick up on time - great vehicle - cheapest compared to other Green Tours Tour cons: - very short free time at each spot to look around (about 10 mins) - no free time at the underground city Derinkuyu - restricted view at Ilhara Valley (you have to pay extra to see the view from the platform) - lunch restaurant was not at Ihlara Valley (we were told it was when we're booked) - too much time at the sales centres Overall a good day thanks to the good crew.

I enjoyed the tour, however felt there wasn't much time or it was a bit rushed at the sites and too much time at the sales centres. I would have liked more stops at Ihlara Gorge, the one stop we did have was short and not a very good view. You had to pay money at that location if you wanted a proper view. I went on the tour to see this gorge. Although I enjoyed the tour I was disappointed with the time spent at Ihlara and I felt that the underground city was rushed. I would have liked some free time at the underground city. Given the chance to explore and a time to meet. Being in a big group in such confined space it not practical nor enjoyable. Our guide was trying to speak but there was so much noise it was pointless.

Tour is ok but our guide Adam was the best! The green tour takes you to many landmark that you can only view from outside, the only thing really worth the trip is the underground city
