Canyoning Experience - half day

My experience was top tier exceptional! I was beyond terrified for this experience and wanted to overcome fear. A huge thank you to Zee and IPA (nickname)— the incredible canyoning guides who ensured my safety and encouraged me throughout the entire excursion! Thank you for the photos and videos captured— a memory I will never forget! Through laughter and a few tears, I finished!

Guides were excellent with kids. Our daughter was a bit nervous but Ze was great and got her to do everything. It was a busy day but the guides were always telling us about something or taking pictures so we were always engaged.

We did the beginner canyoning experience with our family, 4 adults and 3 kids ages 12, 10, and 7. We had a great time with our guides Ze and IPA - they made everyone feed safe and comfortable and push past their fears. What a fun day zip lining, repealing, and jumping down the waterfalls. I was also pleased that they had wetsuits and booties that fit each of the kids.

I really, really recommend this activity. The staff are amazing, always very helpful, and they make you feel like part of the team. We chose Level 3, and the scenery in the heart of nature was the highlight of our trip to São Miguel. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

Such a fun adventure for both adults & kids ages 9 through 46! Our tour guides made us all feel comfortable and safe, even my 9yr old son who didn’t think he would do the big jump at the end (he did it!). We had Ipa & Z as guides & they were both so much fun, filled with positive energy & so kind to everyone.

Incredible experience! Our guides were funny and informative and made sure everyone had a great time. What a cool way to see the jungle from the inside.

**Amazing First Canyoning Experience with Azores Adventure Islands** Choosing **Azores Adventure Islands** for our canyoning adventure on São Miguel was absolutely the right decision. My 11-year-old son and I joined the tour together, and it was very important to me that the guides were professional and that the experience would be neither too easy nor too challenging. In the end, we got even more than we expected. Of course, the most important part of any adventure like this is the guides. From the very beginning, they were professional, approachable, and inspiring. They gave us clear instructions, asked all the right safety questions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident. At the same time, they were relaxed, friendly, and fun to talk to throughout the tour. A special thank you to **Zé and Jerome** (if I remembered the names correctly). They are two highly experienced guides and genuinely warm-hearted people who made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a first canyoning experience. I won't reveal too much, but there is plenty of adrenaline, beautiful scenery, and many fun moments along the way. Personally, I found it much more exciting than whale and dolphin watching. We also tried that during our stay, but it involved a long and very bumpy boat ride, only to eventually see a whale's back or a splash in the distance. Canyoning, on the other hand, keeps you fully engaged from start to finish. I can wholeheartedly recommend this adventure. A super fun experience for just about anyone who wants to try something different and who loves a little adventure ! Our 3 guides were wonderful and super helpful instructing our group along the way. The whole group had a great time.

What an experience! This cannot be missed! We did the level 2 canyoning which included 4 rappels. The last had water gushing over your head from the waterfall and then a jump into a pool. Our guides, Ze and Thomas, were excellent!
