Jacob was an excellent host and guide for our trip to Mt. Fuji. Unfortunately the mountain wasn't visible because of clouds but he had arranged enough other interesting things to make it worthwhile. We toured the Mt. Fuji museum, a shrine, and a sake brewery. The day started with self-heating bentos, which is a miracle of technology, and ended with delicious yakisoba from a famous eatery. Jacob was also very helpful in directing us to our destination after the tour. His english is excellent so we had no trouble conversing and learning about the region.
We're delighted to hear you had such an enjoyable day with Jacob, even despite Mt. Fuji hiding behind the clouds! While we always hope for clear views of the mountain on this tour, it's not always the case, so it's wonderful to know the museum, shrine, sake brewery, and local food experiences helped make the tour memorable without the view. From the self-heating bento to the famous yakisoba, it sounds like a day that was filled to the brim with unique discoveries. We're especially glad that Jacob's knowledge, guidance, and excellent communication helped make the experience both enjoyable and informative. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!
Jacob our tour guide was excellent, he was fluent in Japenese and very knowledgeable about the Japenese culture and possessed a wealth of knowledge. He even assisted us in getting a cab to return us to our Hotel. This gentlemen is excellent at what he does and is an asset to his company.
We're so happy to hear you had such a great experience with Jacob! His language skills and deep knowledge of Japanese culture always make his tours special and we're glad to hear you were able to see that in action! We also love to hear that he was able to assist you outside the tour as well, even helping you grab a cab to get you back to your hotel! Thank you so much for joining us, we really appreciate your kind words and will make sure to share them with Jacob as well!
Wonderful tour guides Norma and her apprentice Sandra provided a great tour of Fuji and surrounding areas. We enjoyed the bullet train but were not hungry enough for the bento box at 10:00 am on the Shinkansen but appreciated the experience and enjoyed a small snack. The weather was a plus with a nice chill in the air which made Snow covered” Ms Fuji” even more beautiful. We tasted some interesting foods along the way but would have enjoyed a sit down indoor restaurant experience for the price we paid as we were getting pretty hungry by the end of the tour ,as we did lots of walking and it was chilly. We were given enough time to shop though not many options in the lovely quaint small town sitting below Mount Fuji. . We spent a lot of time in the saki brewery interesting, but would have preferred more time in a restaurant later in the day. Norma was the best your guide you could we had in Japan and she deserves high marks. Her understanding of both Japanese and English is unique and invaluable!
Josh did a great job of showing around Fujinomiya and helping us appreciate the beauty and history of Mt. Fuji. He also made we ate very well and tried several new things. Would definitely recommend this trip!
Arigato did a FABULOUS job of showing us the Mt. Fuji area and the World Heritage Center, shrine, beer, sake and the BEST Yaki Soba I have ever tasted. Since we booked before 2020, their guide actually picked us up at our Tokyo Hotel. This has changed now, but still worth every penny. The tour was not just food, but also Japanese customs and shrine protocol. I can't say enough about how well this tour group treated us. They also have many other tours in Japan. Since we went during the virus scare, we were the only ones on the tour! They were very safe and we did not get sick from virus or food choices. They know what they are doing! They can adjust for certain wishes. They found us a fabric store with lovely Japanese fabrics.
WOW thank you so much for this fantastic review. we really appreciate your comments. Our Mt Fuji tour is a very special one and we are so happy to share this small town, off the beaten track with you both! I hope you will come visit us again in the future.! We would love to have you on another tour in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka or Hiroshima!
My wife and I went on the Fuji tour. Lauren and Alex were wonderful travel companions and had selected numerous local traditional (and great!) restaurants. The food highlight was the Yakisoba restaurant. Mt fuji was shy the day of our visit as it was raining all day... but with great guides and great food we still enjoyed ourselves immensely. We are aspiring foodies and found this tour to be a great way to experience very tasty local cuisine and learn a lot about the area. The Mt Fuji museum was another highlight.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. I am so pleased personally to hear that you had a good day. We loved sharing the local highlights with you and your wife! What a pleasure. Your review will help other guests learn about us and for that we are truly grateful.
